Straw is becoming scarce. Very scarce. Looking at the prices though, I'm surprised a Tetran with a seaport doesn't just import a ton of cheap straw from Error, and sell at maximum price, of which there are over 70,000 buy offers at. On the other hand, I don't know how intercontinental trade works as I am completely landlocked.

you should 'speed up' that process, u will have to wait 7 weeks anyway before u can take over

7 weeks? Pretty sure it's just one week.

yep, i mean 7 days, corrected :D

Ok so heirs doesnt claim domains automaticly and as soon as you kill the guy next to you, you can expand your domain without any agreements

Beech is best with +20 bonus. Then Oak, Pear, and Ash with +15. Ash is a superior tool wood though so I wouldn't use that. Pear is a fruit so probably not that either. Beech and Oak are both decently dense for a wood. Looking at something like 70m3 of wood per batch of charcoal at 715kg/m3 oak has.

Pear has one thing going for it that most other woods don't, and that is that fact it can be grown in orchards, which (in theory) with sufficient investment you can have your own source of charcoal burning wood even when your natural trees would be insufficient to supply. The investment is massively expensive and time frame is most definitely long term however.

I killed a lord and then spent a hour searching inactive users.

Is this normal?

Owned by separate characters?
I think you'd have to obtain permission from your liege character for sovereignty.

Now I'm just picturing all your subjects in the castle thinking your character is losing their mind and talking to himself :P

The math doesn't make sense.
I checked that apparently it takes 6 seconds to cross 1 arpent at speed 10.
So, in 24 hours you could apparently cross 14400 arpents.

Except you can cross ~165374 arpents in little under 24 hours.
What the actual fuck?

00641W:23415N is my town. 00521W:23480N my heir and vassal.
Oh, really sorry man, I must have missed you.

EDIT:
Ahhh, fuck, I fucked up the code. It was late, though.
Add me too please, got two domains at (02176W:25097N) and (01889W:24980N)

Yes!

I found a load of diamonds next to some copper and salt!
I now have a use for the useless heir I created just because!

Screwed by the map.
The copper right next to the diamonds is just outside of my borders and the saltflats are two land-expansions away not the one I was hoping for.

After having spent quite a while scouring the landscape for any gem deposits near my domain whatsoever, I just stumbled upon some really nice emeralds right nearby.

I can finally auto-produce rings of really nice quality... as soon as anyone's willing to buy the damn things. It also means that I can produce my own coronets and such (mostly). Huzzah! Now all I need is for pearls to become a thing already.

The rings are only going to become a thing if there's a patch making them more useful, though the coronets may be profitable (but only if you make them out of silver).

Right now, rings have a tiny demand, their quality doesn't matter at all, the material can be bought at floor price, and they require very little infrastructure to make. There's no reason at all for anybody to buy a high quality ring, and little reason for anybody to buy a ring at all. You could maybe use them as a reliable way of shifting money between domains, but that's about it.

Well there is a TINY chance a npc unit will want to buy a ring.  Tiny chance.  That and if they do want one they'll have to have the money.

To make maters worse they have 0 demand if it's cold.
