Nikolai's smile widens even further at Mirella's words. A smile of both happiness and savagery.

Oh god damn it, Arete thinks to herself.  Why did they have to have a little girl?  And why does she have to sound so delicious?!  What has happened to m--She shakes her head, clearing her thoughts.  One problem at a time, that's how she's survived her entire life.  She needs clothes, and those will be upstairs, away from the tiny child's heartbeat.  No need to think about it.

Arete carefully continues forward, her footfalls painfully obvious to her newly improved hearing.  Even worse were the stairs, which creaked loudly once she began climbing them.  As she crept farther up, the heartbeats kept getting closer, until she all of a sudden found herself pressing the side of her head against the bedroom's door, listening to the tantalizing sound.

Why is this so hard? she thought, taking deep breaths to calm her need for blood.  These disturbed desires reminded Arete of her mother's drug addiction, which had driven the woman to terrible things, and practically destroyed her.  The thought that she was going through her own addiction disgusted her, forming a rock of stability in her clouded mind.  She concentrated on that disgust as her hand found the doorknob, letting her come closer to the blood she so desired.

Enter the master bedroom, but stay away from the sleeping parents.  Just... figure out where they have clothes, and grab some.  They don't need to fit or anything, just not be bloodsoaked.  Then get out.

Morgan does a short bow to the prince, and then leaves.

Timeskip start now. What exactly that entails will be expounded upon at a later date.

Enter the master bedroom, but stay away from the sleeping parents.  Just... figure out where they have clothes, and grab some.  They don't need to fit or anything, just not be bloodsoaked.  Then get out.

Arete is light on her feet, perhaps more so than before. Maybe part of it is because she hears everything so very acutely. The brush of her own blood soaked clothing feels deafening as her footfalls cross the darkened room. As she slides open the wardrobe door it makes juddering noises which, though ordinarily quiet, seem to ring out in the night. All the while she is hearing the dual heartbeats. It is the first time she has thought of it but... why can she not hear her own? Her self control battle ensues, the heartbeatscall like a siren song but Arete stays strong.

Arete works quickly and lightly. She grabs the first clothes she finds. Torn jeans belonging to the man and a tank top belonging to the woman. Arete slinks off with her prize, holding it away from her blood soaked body.

It is when she hurriedly changes in the foyer that she realises the sizing may be quite off. She struggles the jeans on which, though otherwise fitting, are rather long on her legs. Still, she isn't tripping over in them. She attempts to slip the top on but it seems to catch over her head. It takes a bit of struggling but she does win the battle. She grabs some shoes near the door on the way out, and she is off.

Arete leans against the wall of a nearby building once she's out of the house, relieved to finally be away from the temptation to kill, and out of her bloodied clothes.  Now she's at least not going to be an obvious murderer.

With the urgency of dealing with those problems gone though, she finds her fears and thoughts coming unbidden back to her mind.  Why was all of this even necessary?  Why was she murdering random people to sate some sort of insane blood addiction?  And, she noticed this earlier, why is her heart not beating?!  Her hand flew to her chest to confirm that last thought.  Nothing.  ...Fuck.

Arete didn't feel dead.  In fact, she felt all too alive, already having killed three people.  Come to think of it, she had sensed the drugs in one of them--was that why she had gone for blood?  Had someone drugged her, and then she somehow just subconciously decided she needed to drink blood to get more?  And the drugs were just suppressing her heartbeat so she couldn't feel it?  Did that even make any sense?

She clutched at her face and growled, a disconcertingly bestial sound.  None of this was making sense, crazy things like blood addiction were the stuff of children's stories, little tales to explain why murderers murder.  She had known murderers throughout her life, and knew quite well that they didn't need anything like this to push them over the edge.

...She needed to get home.  Her mind was still slow, foggy, and it would only get worse once people started to wake up and take to the streets.  Right now, she was blessedly alone, but that wouldn't last.  The fledgling vampire looked skyward: she was on the wrong side of the city, but maybe if she ran, she could get off the streets before too many people started waking up and she was choked in crowds.  Then she would have time to piece together what had actually happened to her, and how to deal with it.

Just try running home.  Avoid places where nightlife thrives, or anywhere else where there'd be lots of people at this hour.

Smith walks along. So, sir, would I be able to train with you? Or would that make the prince suspicious?

Smith has no further questions after that.

Take the money and walk over to the armory. If Serge is back by the time I get there buy the following:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

((Would you be ok with entering timeskip at this point? Begin planning your next 20 years, post here when you have completed it and I will tell you how well your actions succeed.))

Nikolai's smile widens even further at Mirella's words. A smile of both happiness and savagery.

"Simply tell me what needs to be done, матрона, and it will be."

((I will also have Nikolai enter timeskip at this stage. I will note for Nikolai that Mirella will give him various missions of infiltration and elimination during the 20 years. She requests him to become close to the prince. Nikolai becomes accustomed to telepathic communication with Mirella during this time.))

Morgan does a short bow to the prince, and then leaves.

Timeskip start now. What exactly that entails will be expounded upon at a later date.
"Then my brain-cake is fully baked, and ready to be decorated." Cesar whispers some more to Spoonicus, conversing with him quietly enough so that others don't hear.

((Enter timeskip))

Smith walks along. So, sir, would I be able to train with you? Or would that make the prince suspicious?

Smith has no further questions after that.

‘You train with me, you train with the other Brujah… Some of them know a thing or two even I don’t. You’ll get stronger over time.’
Serge glances with pride every now and then at Smith, any time he isn’t looking. He’s a father who’s found his son that everyone tried to take from him. They are not safe yet.

((If you too would like to enter timeskip then you are welcome.))

Arete makes it most of the way across the city, keeping to lesser populated areas. A man approaches her when she is almost there. She vaguely recognises him from somewhere, perhaps years ago. Her mind and thoughts are fuzzy. ((Syv you may expand on this man with creative license if you wish))

'Hey darlin'

He stumbles about, clearly very drunk.

'You getting into roleplay now are you? Here kitty kitty. Come on, Arete.' He looks her up and down, his eyes lustful, wanting. He clearly thinks he's getting somewhere with her. He moves closer.

His heartbeat is just as intoxicating to her as the liquor in his system. She can almost feel the veins pulsing under his skin. Her iron will prevents her from lashing out at him, but her desire for him may just be as strong as his is toward her.

Cesar had entered an odd and mythical world since being Embraced, one where his eccentricity was somewhat of an advantage rather than a hindrance. These 'insights' he received through Spoonicus spurred him on to familiarize himself with this new and fantastic world. Cesar delved into the occult, more so than he ever did in his previous life- What better way to make sense of his predicament than to study its roots and legends? Knowing from Mirella that the power of Malkav flowed through him motivated him in his moments of lucidity to master it and get a feel for it whenever he could, dipping himself furthering into madness willingly and trying to sort the insights from the 'false positives'. These would be the things he would train for the upcoming 20 years with Spoonicus's counsel (and Mirella, if she was willing to advise). In order to pay Spoonicus back for this knowledge, he continued his knightly duties on a regular basis, protecting Spoonicus from threats and patrolling his domain(the dining hall).

Cesar was more of a madman than ever before, and he was relishing every moment of it.

((So how's that for a time skip? Probably going to edit it a bit though.))

Timeskip. ((Tentative, just the first four years planned right now.))

Ash(all personalities) will be working in the club with Morgan, using the Street Motorcycle as transport. Ash will stick with the job for about 4 years. She keeps her M9 and a small titanium knife in her pockets at all times, and the two Sais, machete, and shotgun loaded with buckshot in her backpack. In their free time:
Ash/Lyssha will work on learning to speak English competently during the first two years. She will also train in the use of Sais during the four years.
Ash will work on learning about the world during the first four years. She will also practice with pistols.
Ash will train in the use of all weapons at her disposal, but focusing on greatswords and shotguns. She will also learn how to use Obfuscate to walk around with her greatsword on her back in the open without drawing attention.
Ash will learn about the prince and learn how best she and Morgan can gain his favor. She will also learn about the social customs of Kindred in general.

If the prince gives a mission or task to her and Morgan, she will accept if Morgan does. She will bring every weapon she owns with her on missions that require fighting, otherwise just what she always carries.

Spoiler: purchases (click to show/hide)
