How long will this meeting be? If it goes over the course of some days we could try to find out who is who, and then slay the most righteous. Afterwards in the chaos of the situation we can usurp some of the priests minds to our cause. Also we should find out who is the pre-broken priest so we can gain insight why he is pre-broken and possibly recruit him or find his demon overlord.

It's the one you yourself broke earlier in this update. You sent him back to report that all is well in Fellshore.

Enter in the form of Smoke while our companions converse and distract. Start secretly invading their minds, one at a time. The goal is to subvert all of them, but partial success is better than wasting all our power and getting banished by a bunch of priests.

Also, give our Wordbearer a name, so we can stop calling her Female Wordbearer.

Why not just ask them what their name is/was?

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

We may need to evil it up a little.

On the topic of a name for the wordbearer: she'll have earned a new one if we succeed in this mission, perhaps?

at least ASK before you start re-naming people! it's rude otherwise!

Why not go around to the townspeople instead.  Convince them that the priests are gathering to do something terrible so they need to be attacked.

Lets say that the priests think the town is unclean and they are waiting for an inquisitorial army to wipe out the town.  When they are confronted have our own priest break down and confess that it is true.

Town kills some priests, starts a conflict and such.  All from the shadows.

I don't think that we should name the Wordbearer. We should care about our minions who have significant power, connections, or ambition. This Wordbearer has displayed none of these attributes. With a mental and physical power of 2, and belonging to a very rural village, she is neither powerful nor connected. She has also shown very little initiative to spread our influence. For OOC reasons, I don't want us to get bogged down in naming insignificant followers, especially when there is more pressing concerns. (The priests!)

To deal with the priests, there seems to be 3 plans. (In approx. order of popularity) Vote now, or forever hold your peace!

as long as we are careful in not being personally exposed, if everything goes tits up we can try one of the other plans.

We Madmen are very ingenious.  Sometimes it just takes just a little less sanity to pull off something completely awesome.

War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

Hmm. If we do that, though, where do we want to go from there? I was thinking of essentially subverting the priesthood of the whole kingdom or whatever we're in and using our minions to subvert the masses en mass, but if any of you have any alternative long-term plans I'm game to hear them.
