All of a sudden, someone bursts through the door. The dust off and look around confused.
"Am I late?"
The dirty blonde lad looks confused.

"Like what? I have about an hour before Herbs and Potions!"
Alice produces three books that look relatively easy to go through.
"There's probably more in the library, more complex books, but these should do as an introduction. These are 'An Introductory Treatise to Magic' by Reichmann, 'Just Six Variables' by Tezuka and 'On The Soul' by Crowley."

"Ahhh, thank you.

Hmm.  To go sit in on herbs and potions, or to read these..."

"Well, besides cooking, what do you find fun?"

"Hunting for good ingredients, of course! Cooking, fishing, farming a little- my mother was good at it- and more! A few things, too."
Alice waves at the newcomer, as she continues packing up.
"I'd like those back as soon as you're done. I'm afraid I only borrowed them from a friend."

"Well, given the type of school this is, I'm sure there is somewhere we can fish. You want to?"

"You keep them then, I'm sure I can find them in the library or something..."

"Well, she won't mind, she has quite a few copies, but still."
