Vijaya looks at Tsakaka blankly for a moment or two while chewing on a bit of steak before speaking. "How are you doing?"

"I'm... nervous about this war." She munches on her steak tensely.

[Adragis]

She picks up the closed book, and closes it - holding the book flat against one hand, and pushing down with the other. One half of the book vanishes into the other, along with Relspi's hand. After a small grunt of exertion, the still-visible spine of the book snaps, and Relspi withdraws her hand from the book, holding the severed half.
"It's not as interesting as yours..."

[Chevaleresse]

"I see." He was quiet for a moment. "I should likely be afraid as well, but I am not."

[UXLZ]

"I think yours is perfectly interesting. Much more interesting than my own, because..."

he adds, with an embarrassed smile.

"I'm not even sure what yours does."

Alex wasn't sure it'd be very easy to figure out, either, with his utter lack of magical knowledge.

"Um... So, what sort of things are you interested in? What do you like to do?"

[Adragis]

"...I don't know. I think I'll need to find out. How about you?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

Imhotep notices Medea reading, and, having finished the meal, approaches her. She takes a seat at her table, and smiles. "Hey there! How's the book?"

The girl looks up at them, a cold expression on her face.

[Sl4cker]

"I see." He was quiet for a moment. "I should likely be afraid as well, but I am not."

"I suppose the fate of the universe should weigh quite heavily on one who has only known islands her whole life." She looks upwards, thoughtful.

[Chevaleresse]

"An interesting thought. Some might say that one might care less for the world having seen less of it, but I would disagree with that."

[UXLZ]

Well, I'm new to the magical world, so almost everything. The different types of creatures, different types of magic, mysterious unknown things that I have never experienced before. What do you mean that you don't know, though? Surely there's something you're interested in. What about this academy?"

[Sl4cker]

"An interesting thought. Some might say that one might care less for the world having seen less of it, but I would disagree with that."

"Perhaps, perhaps." She tears off a bit of her steak and pops it into her mouth. "What sort of abilities do you have, Vijaya?"

[Chevaleresse]

"I have a high degree of control over the form of my body, and in melee combat I can shift between weapons and fighting styles freely due to changing the shape of the ones built into my frame. I can also manipulate parts of myself with relatively low mass and complexity without being mechanically attached, though not with great precision. Additionally, due to my composition, I am extremely durable, though I will not recover from an injury as quickly as the average human."

Tiana stops eating when she hears Tsakaka speak, and walks over to her and Vijaya.
"A war? What?"

[Adragis]

"It seems interesting, yes. It doesn't interest me."

[SOLDIER First]

COME ON THEY HAVE RAW MEAT

Just hurry up before I EXPLODE

A large, tall, black-furred thing sits mostly alone at a table, wolfing down several plates of meat.
Willow is in available space close to Aiko with a reasonably healthy meal.

"I see..."

Alex was unsure what she meant, but had the feeling that probing further would only result in a harder to decipher response. Still, he smiled. For some reason he liked this girl, wanted to try and understand her more, even if she was a bit odd. Because...

"Alright then, what's your favorite food? For me, it's probably dark chocolate."

She was an outsider too.
