Tiana offers her hand to Jason.

"I can... uhh... it's where I... can I show you?"
She finally breaks eye contact, eyes flickering from one side to the other, up and down, almost mechanically.

As Relspi's eyes were torn away from his gaze, Alex felt a crushing hammer blow to his chest, as though he'd lost sight of something extremely important and beautiful. Simultaneously, the feeling of emerging from limitless ocean depths to clean and crisp air overcame him... And he realized just what he had been doing.

His mask of neutrality had been slightly shifted by surprise earlier.
Then it was cracked by fear.
Now, by embarrassment, it was completely shattered.

"Oooh.. O-o-owowo. T-T-That w-would be f-fine."

He could barely even get the sentence out. Much to his further embarrassment, he even made an unintentional noise before using proper words.

[Adragis]

"Is something the matter?"
She looks at him, still grinning in that predatory way of hers - albeit with a hint of concern this time around.

[UXLZ]

His faze blazing, Alex stammered out a response to Rel's query.

"D-d-don't you f-find it e-embarassing, w-what we've been doing for the p-past... I d-don't even know how long."

[Adragis]

"...should I?"
She stops grinning altogether.
"...d-did I ask something rude?"

[spümpkin]

Imhotep notices Medea reading, and, having finished the meal, approaches her. She takes a seat at her table, and smiles. "Hey there! How's the book?"

[Sl4cker]

Tsakaka is eating her steak (it looks pretty undercooked) solemnly, silently listening to Ashley's talk. She's sitting next to Vijaya.

Tiana waves at Tsakaka.
"Hi, roommate!"

Alex shakes his head emphatically. He was still massively embarrassed, but had recovered enough composure to speak with far few less stuttering.

"You've done nothing wrong, you've asked nothing wrong, it's what w-we were doing. N-normally, staring into each other's eyes like t-that is for those who deeply in love."

[Adragis]

"...r-really...?"
She takes a step backwards.
"Oh, I... I didn't know. Sorry."

[Sl4cker]

Tiana waves at Tsakaka.
"Hi, roommate!"

She waves, mouth too full of steak to give a readable expression.

[UXLZ]

"...r-really...?"
She takes a step backwards.
"Oh, I... I didn't know. Sorry."

"I-it's not something to apologise before, but I'm in awe that you don't even care..."

Alex smiles sheepily.

"Th-though I suppose that I didn't realise I was doing it either."

Breath in, breath out.

Managing to center and himself - at least to the point of no longer stuttering like an idiot, he tries to bring things back on track.

"Um, so... I think you were going to show me something, before I made a fool of myself. I'd still very much like to see it."

[Adragis]

"Okay, uh... d-do you have any cloth, or paper, or something?"
She rushes her words, trying to avoid the subject of what they had done that was bad.

[Chevaleresse]

Vijaya looks at Tsakaka blankly for a moment or two while chewing on a bit of steak before speaking. "How are you doing?"

[UXLZ]

"Uuhm..."

There wasn't really anything nearby... Ah. There it was, a shelf in the corner of the room, full of paper objects.

"Will this do?"

Alex exercised his ability to float a book over, and mostly succeeded. Sure, a few pages got torn out, but that was no big deal.

He ends up resting it in mid-air in front of Relspi.
