Nowa days I'm playing Sil with some mix of cataclysm dark days ahead and unreal world. My current record in Sil is 250 feet. I'm slowly getting there :P

Recently was interested in looking for party-based roguelike .

The heavy majority of roguelikes, through summons or minions or follower systems, have at best only minor party management, but that's not what i'm looking for as nearly every RL has something like that in it.

Basically something with a (even slightly) more involved party system, either with party members actually existing in the same map like in X@Com or existing in a dungeon master/wizardry/etc... way as in Guild roguelike by example.

I found this old thread about the subject, but i wonder if since 2012 there are RL titles i never heard about having been made with a party system ?

There have been, though, uh. I can't remember what most of them are called. Definitely one I remember the gameplay of is one that's been updated recently-ish that focuses on summoning allies to do most of the work for you. Then there's Javelin, Steam Marines probably counts (though the UI and movement and whatnot infuriates me to the point I can't recommend it), Peleron's Brilliant Rebirth... almost certainly more that I'm forgetting or just didn't notice.

Almost certain there's been some commercial ones, too. Well, besides steam marines.

Quickly tested Javelin and PBR that i never heard about before

PBR is really old-school (found out there was a thread about it on Bay12), i mean the interface is reminding games from the eighties at most (i don't mean the ASCII, i mean the navigation feels really like games from the eighties), after a not that fun character creation process (i ended up randomly generating 3 of my 4 party goers), once ingame it's a bit better, though the readme mention how vastly unfinished it is and the bug.txt isn't much encouraging but at least fun to read :)

Javelin is quite nice; it comes with a tileset by default for those troubled by ASCII, after creating a couple of Hill dwarves i started to explore the terrain around the citadel i started right next to, and a "War pony" triggered a battle with my guys.

I was really surprised then how slow the battle felt, there was a "thinking" times of a few seconds between each turns of the war pony for reason that do not seemed obvious to me as the field of battle wasn't anything multi-level complex and it's no chess game, it made the game really feel slower than it should especially considering it was only my 2 guys only vs 1 war pony in melee the whole time, i dread to think about what it could be with an army.
But other than this very annoying problem, there's a lot of potential for this Javelin one for greatness.

The thinking time is because it uses a real AI (so it makes real decisions instead of going "if there's enemy in range of 2, attack else do stuff blah" kind of AI most games have) - https://javelinrl.wordpress.com/2016/07/15/hello-world/ and scroll down to "artificial intelligence" to learn more than dumb old me can tell

Reason number two is, it's Java so not very performant. Loves to eat all of my CPU :) but I love it regardless.

Is there a good guide for Angband? It seems like more my kind of thing than NetHack has been, but there's practically no documentation from what I've looked at.

Spoilers! A quick search for angband walkthrough nets some other stuff. Other than that it's mostly just playing. There's also an LP or two, I think, and reading comments over on the ladder is often pretty enlightening.

... I'd probably suggest one of the variants, though. Vanilla's... vanilla, and not in an intriguing way, imo.

I love nethack on my phone. I know it's tired and old, but still classic.
The version I have has buttons and panels and shit which make the game playable without a keyboard.
This is how ALL roguelikes should play. Customisable command buttons on scrolling panels. Whew.
Does caves of qud count as a RL? It's awesome.
Spelunky is too: It takes everything good about the genre and transplants it in a horror platformer.
Dungeon crawling is not really my thing :(
Generally, I really love simplified dungeon games such as Shiren and Mystery Dungeon. SMT:SJ is nice too.
Sure, you lose a lot of features (A LOT- like 90%) but it's awesome to see everything animated all nicely and shit.

CoQ's a RL of the ADOM vein, sure. The mystery dungeon stuff definitely is as well. Generally pretty simplified, but eh.

Gods no to that all, though. Phone/tablet ones, maybe, but you'll have to pry my keypad and hotkeys out of my cold, dead, hands.

I remember there was this open-world roguelike I played once, but forgot it's name. You travelled in space exploring planets and you could sell the maps at a space station for money and it was kind of nice. Does anyone know it, basically an open roguelike in space (not ASCII sector)?
