Ten people certainly seemed like the amount of capable warriors this merchant was likely to find here, even in a crowd of this size.

Karima idly examined her sleeve, feeling as much a part of the mob as any of the other gawkers around. Wage talk held no interest for her.

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Well. As orderly as can be expected from soldiers. No hurting civilians, burning down villages and so on. Anything that would not reflect well on the cause we are labouring for. Clean, morally upright behavour would be welcome but not required. I know, ah, too much of the habits of some mercenaries to ask for that."

"Do not worry. This is just the first step of the plan. Once the kings of the world realize who the rightful ruler of Aen is I am certain that, ah, they will provide their support. At the very least the Sultan of Masjay would welcome a friendly ruler in a neighbouring country. I am certain that some political deal could be worked out."

[SOLDIER First]

Diane nods, satisfied.

[Blade Master Model 42]

"You realize we'll probably have to fight tons of people, right? This isn't gonna be a bloodless tale of nobility and grace." Also it's going to be a lot of hard work.

[Praefectus Screptum]

"Oh, please. We are mercenaries, not pirates. _{But I cannot guarantee having a morally upright behavior, kekeke."}
The man's optimism  was getting to the point of making Athros chuckle.

"Well duh. That is what my father trained me to do, you know. It's not like he never fought or killed people in his job. And that's what he wanted me doing. Still, this will be a lot more exciting than being stuck doing the same thing he did."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Masjay? There's no alliance to be found with Masjay. It's a miserable, evil place. No, Masjay would be the enemy."

[Gaterhyme]

She frowned. Masjay had been her home once. But that was hardly what she was here for.

"Where is this prince, anyway? Taking a nap?"

[SOLDIER First]

Diane laughs at the comment.

"Let's hope he isn't."

[Chevaleresse]

"Oh, those conditions I can do. Burning down stuff is kind of pointless anyway, huh?" She turned her head toward the woman who'd asked for the prince. "Yeah, that's a pretty good question, actually."

[Gaterhyme]

"I mean, I could use a nap after all that droning on. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to get a head start on it, being royalty and all."

[SOLDIER First]

Diane (not-so) subtly crept beside Karima.

_{"Let's hope the prince looks as good as our reward, hm?"}

[Praefectus Screptum]

"If the Prince is busy with his beauty sleep, we might as well talk. After all, nobody introduced themselves properly."
Athros performed a brief and almost sarcastic bow before he proceeded speaking.
"The name is Athros...The Kind. Kekeke."

[Gaterhyme]

Oh. Great. Time for the worst kind of girl talk.

_{"They say he's been dead for decades, but if you want to jump his bones... I won't judge too hard."}

She shrugged, smirk curving onto her face, and moved away again.

Diane was too surprised to actually reply, and Karima escapes successfully.
