((You and me both))
Dexter studies Terran language, practices at the firing range, and practices his light manipulation with the intent of hiding traps.

While studying traps, he studies the guerrilla tactics of groups such as the Viet-cong, specifically the way they camouflaged their traps.

"Gentlemen and beings," One of the pilots said as they grinned at you all while on the elevator up to the launch pad. "Let me introduce you to your ride today." Damned guy timed it just right, finishing when the elevator comes to a stop and opens, revealing the VTOL in all her glory, being worked on and checked for last prep before flight. It's breathtaking even for Terran to see such magnificient feat of engineering, courtsy of Akras Germany. The Trike's already been loaded as you can see through the crew compartment that's opened and waiting for everyone to board.

For Gaians, seeing such a thing.. It's so drastically different than the primer that shows some primitive 21st century VTOLs. These things? These things looks like a while nother league..

Spoiler: VTOL (click to show/hide)

Amadou and a VTOL crew member hoist the trike with the winch, and use the trike's crane arm to swing it inside. The experience is valuable, as they conclude that it'll be faster if both are done simultaneously; next time it'll take a third or less of the time to load it, and every second may count.

To debark it was easier, it's close enough to the ground to just drive it out. On a second attempt, they just get a few team members to muscle it inside. While the elves and smaller guys are near useless at lifting the trike's 650Kg, between Rogon, Dan, the crew member and Amadou it was very quickly done.

In an emergency, they might just hang the trike on the winch and fly out with it hanging outside, even if that unbalances the VTOL a bit and makes it harder on the pilot.

While he'd seen plenty of these, the VTOLs never failed to impress him. There was a time when he wanted to be a pilot, but, that never happened. Mostly due to him never having enough cash for classes, which was caused by the gambling debts that occurred oh so often.

After having trained these Gaians with basic firearms (surprisingly with no comments about race or magic, but with him watching his tongue 24/7 like that, the sessions had him sound kinda emotionless, and monotone), he *believed* they were ready to take on some tiny-ass village. He knew he was.

Khaiden's face splits into a grin:

"How does it fly and what is it capable of?"

"Hey. Mako Vance. Mechanic. Drone specialist." The mechanic girl said gruffly to mask her being intimidated by so many fighters. She then returned to examining the VTOL and imagining how to assemble it. Probably not in her price range, though.

The bulky man looks the engineer up and down for a moment, before replying in a neutral tone, "Name's Danh. Heavy weapons and explosive ordinance."
She was actually human, so that was good. But was she another fucking magic-er? He'd find out soon. Hopefully he wouldn't be the sole normal person apart of this team.

Khaiden's face splits into a grin:

"How does it fly and what is it capable of?"

The pilot, whom introduced himself as Captain Raynolds gave a wide, man-splitting grin. "How does she flies? well, you see these?" Cpt. Raynolds asked, tapping at the protruding part of the VTOL. "This here is an Akras Eff One Thousand Afterburning Turbofan. One of these babies have the thrust power of over fifteen thousand kilogram. That's fifteen thousand kilogram worth of weight she can lift, each. Powered completely by the new on-board hot Fusion reactor, that's basically the same way how the Sun's powered if you don't know. Yeah, that's fuckin' right, we have a miniature fuckin' sun onboard. And she's got four of these afterburning Turbofans, so you bet your ass she could carry some serious haul. Your skinny asses and that tiny trike? not a problem."

The man chuckles as his grin continues, letting you have a moment to take it in before he continues. "As for what she's capable of, well. She's got some nice composite alloy platings, ten layers of layered titanium, plasteel, ceramic plates, ablative rubber and Kevlar weave. That's three inches deep of the best armor a flying vehicle could ask for, she's meant to take missiles. Whatever they've got to throw at us won't even scratch her paint."

"But that's not all, she comes armed with Akras's own 50mm Autocannon nose turret, firing rounds as big as your fuckin' hands that will give someone a really bad time. As well as several Air-To-Land missiles and dumbfire rockets. Hell, if Akras wanted that village you're going to dead? they'd just send us to rain hell on them and be done with it. Anything else you want to know, sweetheart?"

"Son, the whole point of a VTOL is to be able to hover." The captain answered.
