Ratodx has been withdrawn and somewhat avoidant since the exorcism (and my inability to be online during today) and opts to remain Gaian side, though the idea of observing Tal experiment with the entity is tempting.

The talk of electricity perks Ratodx up some and the video explaining in deeper detail has his full attention. Before Amadou goes to his pre-bed exercises, Ratodx has a question or two for him. "Would- would you mind showing me how I can see more about electricity? It has a great deal of- importance to the goblins of my clan, myself included, and Terrans seem to know oh so much more about it.

Wow! It's strange. For such a young race, you're so much more advanced than us. I hope one day all of Gaia can share in such wonders.

I grow hungry. Care to share a meal with me?

"I think I will go with you in a moment. Food made by others sounds very good right now."

Amadou stops his limbering and gyrations. "Well, as I said it'll all be much easier once you learn how to read. In the meanwhile I'll link a broad search for 'electricity' here, you can tap on it and slide your finger to choose one of the videos to watch, like this, see. Have fun but do mind the literacy video I linked before, there's only so much you can learn from these."

He watches Ratodx make a selection, helping if needed, before returning to the exercises.

After Amadou sets up the link and Ratodx briefly investigates it and memorises the Terran letter sequence for electricity, he'll thank Amadou and hurry after...Dexter was it?

((Once mealtime conversation is done, Ratodx will probably spend his time alternating between electricity and literacy videos before crashing for the evening.))

So Ratodx, how are you feeling? I know it must have been an ordeal.

Amadou's PDA Beeped as he's messaged about his squad's payments. Also Employees ID cards are ready for the Gaians under his care, they can use the card [comes with their picture and details] to withdraw credits and pay for stuff in company shops or just use the barcode on their arms. It's best you teach them the value of money and how to survive in Corporate capitalism, while food and drinks are free, you're still expected to pay for your lodging, electricity and water bills. Plus the Company's shops have a hell lot of things to buy, Vehicles included!

And what good are money if you don't spend it, right?

Amadou comes off the bathroom and sees the message. Noting that there's only Reserti there, he decides to tell them tomorrow when everyone is gathered, and goes to bed.

you're still expected to pay for your lodging, electricity and water bills.
Oi! That's absurd, we're not in private lodgings, if we're on capitalism you can't expect anyone to just agree to that kind of socialism.

Specially to that kind of socialism.

"Damn, Akras really goes for a direct approach for their medicine don't they? For their possession removal too I guess. Good to hear that everyone recovered well enough."

"That sweet? I wonder is they have any in the mess hall."

"Mind if I ask your opinion on our group? It seems like we're a bit of a mixed bag of sorts."

Ive got mostly good opinions of the team.

Amadou has the makings of a great team leader. He puts our well being above his own, so I hope he doesn't overwork himself for our sakes.

Melnakos us pretty cool. He takes risks. I can see us being good friends.

Khaiden kind of freaks me out, but I don't think he's all that bad once you get to know him. I get the feeling that if we crossed him he would kill us and absorb our souls though.

Reserti seems pretty skilled with that bow of his, but I'd rather not stand in front of him in battle though. Getting stabbed wasn't pleasant.

Since you're his teammates and fellow Akras employees,"Crossing" Khaiden would mean purposefully betraying him or screwing up to an absurd degree.

So your characters should be fine.

Khaiden's a mildly sociopathic soul-devouring Necromancer with a degree of sadism, not a Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain.

He doesn't do things like devouring souls or destroying faith for "teh evulz," he does them because they help him reach a goal and/or make him happy.

There's very little he won't do to succeed.

You missed something important about Reserti. Or rather, someone. Hint: It starts with an 'I' and ends in a '(u with some accent over it)lwen'
Alternatively, starts in a 'L' and ends in 'ove'

Ratodx nods, "I've about the same thoughts, though I'm more than a bit surprised that no one's so far outwardly cared that I'm a goblin."

"Amadou's not a bad boss. Better boss than I've ever had I think, and it's just the first day. He let me off a lot easier than I expected with the microwave. You all have really."

"Melnakos seems a bit too friendly to me, though that might be an elf thing for all I know. He'll probably be a bit more cautious after today though, what with the Goat and all."

"I get the feeling that we wouldn't need to cross Khaiden for him to try kill us and eat our souls. Here's hoping that he doesn't try anything before he recognizes that he'll do better in the field with a team that isn't concerned about if we'll become his next lunch. And if he does try something...I'll hope that it happens when we can handle it."

Reserti seems pretty skilled with that bow of his, but I'd rather not stand in front of him in battle though. Getting stabbed wasn't pleasant.
"Heh, you can say that again. The stabbing bit I mean. That's never pleasant. He seems a bit hot headed to me, but hopefully he'll cool off some before we need his bow again. I get the feeling that the next time we're in a fight, we'll want to try to set things up a bit differently."

((Ratodx was canonically not around for Reserti's introduction and retconned teleporting angst. Which means that you'll have plenty of opportunity to play it up :P Also here is your ú, please save it for yoúr own úse.

We'll see about Khaiden. Suspicion and Paranoia have kept Ratodx less harmed more often than not, so the guy who talks about how he likes to consume the souls of others is going to draw up more than a couple red flags. For now at least.))

[To keep the thread moving, shall we say those who went over Terra side have returned so we can move on to the next day? You may still choose when to return of course but just for the sake of not keeping the game on pause for too long. :P]

The next day, wile all are present Amadou delivers the cards and mentions the payment. He explains the concept of fiat money as opposed to gold and silver, and mentions the prices for some basic items.
