Had this joke kicking around my head for a few days. I've also been meaning to practice with Gimp for drawing.

Hehehe. I hate to re-build a single wall with different tricks to avoid this . Pathfinding mechanism in such cases is definitely pissing me off.

 However the same behaviour allows you to wall your dwarves in a fort from outer threats.

Except that they'll probably construct the wall from the outside instead.
That or they won't get there in time because they were too busy having a party.

DEON, that's a superb style with the dwarfy gif! I've never seen anything quite like it!
And that joke has potential, pottsy. Except the miner, instead of commenting on his idiocy, should be speaking about how it's a shame there's no way to avoid such silly accidents. It would be hilarious if the dwarfs were portrayed as completely intelligent fellows who for some reason HAVE to trap themselves behind walls, in channels, deconstruct the floor they're standing on and run for the sock lying behind the invading goblin army.

Thank you very much. I wanted to draw it in a "correct" way but I decided that I don't have much time so I've made it in 10 min using square MSpaint brushes .

And yeah, it would be kinda funny. "I don't want that sock! There're goblins! Noooo! Screw this job manager! Screw this pathfinder! Nooo!..." *Dies*
