It could be better. I mean, you should fix the lineart before you color it, and the critters have their parts blending with the background. Did you ask the permission to color it? Not that I care about it, but still .
Also, the major problem for me is that you've lost the texture and details on his face.

It could definitely be better I only recently started using Photoshop, nor do I practice a lot (if at all). Just thought I'd share something I made.

This image stems from my idea that trolls are related to Nephilim, the sons of fallen angels in judeo-christian mythology. This got me to thinking about what exactly one of these creatures would look like, as in what creature, if "bred" with a human, would create something as bizzare as a troll. It shares some of the trolls' distinguishing features, such as sharp teeth, lanky arms and shorter legs, as well as the number of fingers and toes.

eventually I got the idea that the wings are the only part of the creature that is technically the angel's "body", and that the humanoid form is more like a organic puppet that the wings have affixed themselves to, like an "avatar" so to speak. The wings are a form of parasite, and have possessed a living being and changed it into something to better suit their needs.

Then I thought, "why stop at organic posession?" and thought it'd be a cool image to have an angel that had built its body out of something stronger, like metal and stone. This design is based on the idea that the angel had "posessed" the rubble from the a destroyed church, like some kind of architecture-golem with wings attached.

Yeah I guessed that you just didn't practice a lot. I will make a quick tutorial to show what I meant. I almost finished shadows and texture yesterday but my wife disctracted me

Holy CRAP, those are awesome.

The brazier on his head makes me think of the way tongues were depicted in renaissance art.
Maybe that's why: because those who were touched by the divine actually had flames over their heads.

Now we know.


EDIT: It also explains why angels always start with "do not be afraid."

It shares a bit of a resemblance with my archangel drawing a bit before, except with a spear and less muscular. And also with Anima-like bandages.
