The space dwarf mobile main base seems to have gone MIA. It seems unlikely it was legitimately raided since it was parked off at random in deep space with all antennas off, and I'm sure it didn't run out of fuel since it had thousands of uranium in the reactor.

So I'm not sure if rift crashed it, a bug ate it, or the patch just ruined everything but I guess either way it means the end of the great (ha) dwarf-elf war.

Last i saw it, it was in the middle of nowhere with no antennas on (not even by a asteroid). With 110Days until power ran out. The chance of another player finding it is low.. maybe space pirates killed it? or at least took out the power/medbay? I guess it was closer to earth (like 150km? away) so maybe someone flew relatively near it spawning space pirates? (or any of the potentially attacking ships) I think its gatlings were on, so it might of been able to put up some defense.. but back luck could still down it?

But yea, i donno, maybe when admins do a cleanup they will spot its husk somewhere and find out what happened to it. (i did crash a similar looking ship (same Go'uld ship) into the planet to help someone (Martinuzz) out, but not ours so count that wreckage out) Literally after using our ship to jump that one to earth orbit and dropping that one on martinuzz i just picked a direction and jumped.. everything was fine, 110 days left. last i saw it.

Yesterday me and Sensei were experiencing a lot of bugginess and weirdness near my base. At some point, a ship that looked exactly like the one Rift crashed nearby for me to plunder suddenly appeared half a meter away from my base and started firing at it, before crashing into it and subsequently being deleted by Sensei. Both sound possible, but the first sounds like a pretty big coincidence if it wasnt our ship.. maybe a bug teleported it to you somehow. Did it have MULTIPLE gatlings? Cause that would give it away, the original-crashed  ship only has 1 on the bottom (as they all do when they spawn in, but ours had 4 turrets).. Possibly because the crashed ship was connected via connector to our ship in the past somehow it was still connected and dragged it magically 150km to crash on your base..

Pirates don't attack empty ships, they "cheat" and home in on players directly. So unless someone spawned a pirate, then flew straight to our ship and hid behind it or something pirates would not have attacked it.

So I don't know. Probably just yet another stupid bug, that ship was so buggy I'm surprised it didn't explode before this.... should have ground it apart and made a real base I guess.

Anyway I haven't respawned because I don't know if permadeath is on and I don't want to lose my GPS and faction control if it is... but I guess now that I think about it, it really makes no difference since there's nothing I can do about it if it is (rift can't respawn to build me a medbay and I can't add anyone else to the faction to build one without spawning)

Rammed ship into it, ship gone.

Dunno about base, it's still invisible, I can only see the armor blocks.

@Martinuzz Everything i touch dies to bugs. (the stations ok, the ships gone, no way to build refinery) GL, your only option is attacking ships for parts.

Well i've died tons and never lost my GPS's. I left the dwarf fortress faction and joined martinuzz, (although that ones now also on the ropes). I still kept my GPS's the entire time.
Pretty sure you wont lose  your faction control  by respawning as a lander ( i never lost mine when i was the faction lead of gnomes' before).
(as for the cause of the ship death Burnedtoast, it happened after the last update, and likely was somehow teleported? pulled? to martinuzz base and dropped near it (apparently attacking before hitting the ground) Likely some weird connector bug where it remembered the last ship it was connected to (the downed ship near his base) then somehow "snapped" 150km back to it, crashing nearby.)

Regardless im gone this weekend traveling, so GL all.

The server is updating now.

I should be clear, the ship I deleted was a modified Goa'uld pyramid thingy with a large drill on the front, and its grid name was ElfKiller or something. I figured it was your ship, or a copy of your ship somehow, but I deleted it because I didn't know how it got there and it wouldn't stop shooting. My best guess is that it somehow remembered it was a pirate ship and just flew off on its own to attack Martinuzz. Note that this also coincided with Martinuzz falling through the world which may have something to do with it.

If you saved a blueprint I'd be fine with restoring your ship, or I can just depower/de-ownership another pyramid when I see it flying around and drop it off by your base. I don't mind restoring ships that get killed by bizarre server bullshit.

Sorry, I should have mentioned it's down right now.

We were dealing with a cursed ship which caused a client crash whenever you looked at it. This meant that iterating through ship lists for garbage cleanup purposes was a major pain in the ass. I ultimately had to pull the save file off the server, run it locally so I could use SESE, and identify and delete it with text commands in there. I also wasted a bunch time trying to make SEMU work, which just refused to work and is abandoned as far as I can tell. Anyway, I've fixed the problem and am now (very slowly!) uploading the fixed save file to the server, at which point we should be back to business as usual.
