Ok, so only pika died this year and the save passes on to Carefulrogue. The next player should redwarf pikachu again.

Well, for single-wide corridors, magma flung from minecarts can act both as a weapon and as a pathing blocker. Though is that still an open path to all exits?

 Sucks about merchants.

Smelters over forges, to both melt ore and forge products. It's a cycle of metal!

Jagged pillars...cave-ins?

An unusual edifice of dwarven craftdwarfship.

Xbow Urvad has pretty decent stats.

So many bones lost to a mood o.o

Huh, how's our dragon  defences? Do we need slade bridges?

Green glass FB with poisonous vapours....Hm. Ranged combat with war dog backup?

Hm...mid-stockpile hauling, I suppose it is bit of an annoyance to get correct minecarts assigned. However, I suppose I haven't dealt with scale that benefits much from  forbidding yet.

Uh, engaging fragile FB with poisonous  vapours with all squads? Daring, if risky.

Oh I see, others stand guard farther behind.

Welp, so much for nice plans.

Hm. Hammer failing compared to bites. Aw.

Yay non-death syndrome. Though seems less fragile than expected from glass.

Pika lost a leg? Maybe a doctor should treat her immediatelly...But more civilians would likely die, grabbing the gear dropped. Dangerous.

I guess despite ambush failing it wasn't so bad.

Oh. So it was deadly after all.

Quite a lot of military, though :v With no traps used against Sed, it's less of a dungeon and more of a stronghold at peace.

Lot of children as well. Hope they get to grow up. Maybe it's time for some sort of childcare?

Other 3024 - I hope that's mostly edible, but I suppose it doesn't matter with so much plant, fish and meat.

@snow dwarf: not only pika, Sarvesh Delethoddom and Ilral Sazirmistěm died as well.

There shouldn't be any cave-ins, but it's possible it can happen when flooring, and digging out the walls on 3 z-levels.

I did not have many phyllite blocks they I check every so often when they get made, then assign constructions.

I think that open space looks like loam floors, so I designate the pillars dig, which removes support of constructed floors above.
--so a collapse happens.

I had a 2x long minecart stockpile above, then I broke it down to get a few 2x4s with 3 wheelbarrows assigned.  This seems to increase the chance of haulers to work on it.

Dang huge image.  How do I resize? adding width=500 works, thanks Fleeting Flames.

The Forgotten Beast Sedastmasli, The Moist Seducer has come!
An enormous humanoid composed of green glass.
It has four long, curving horns, and it has a bloated body.
Beware its poisonous vapors!

Yeah, I myself have sometimes those cave-in moments myself. Most recently when testing plant bearing soil with obsidinazation - forget about the generated floor above, dig it all away, then ooops.

Eh, still have 5 dwarves :P

Such long-distance hauling...Last time I dealt with 100ish squares of hauling was when building a fisher's hut on far-away brook; the drink and food stockpile there got filled alright. Though I automated fish transport with a minecart after the fact (it's really much more comfortable to work horizontally than vertically with tracks)

image resizing : use img width=500 to reduce the image width (gets max size again on click).

nice doodle, but what a horrifying update! Three dwarves who should have lived are now dead after being struck by full-body paralysis. I guess we should just be thankful that the beast failed to sunder our defenses and strike at the soft underbelly that is our civilian population.

I look outside in these sun baked dunes, and vomited.  This must be a bad case of cave adaptation, or crap, I think I’m pregnant again.

Downloading.  Will take a look in a bit.  Except a fresh wave of military recruits.

EDIT: So I finally caught up with the events from Sanctume's turn.  Wow.  The art is really nice too.  Expect all magma hauling operations to be halted, since I don't want to deal with a micro managing task.  Or, expect some hellish creation as a result of me saying we really need it, and I decide to overhaul the system with a vertical mineshaft.  I hate carving vertical track.

I never thought genocide would look so cute. . .
No reason someone can be dorfed only once. An entire army of Carefulrogue! All in one coffin, it seems.

A vertical track sounds fun.

Also, sanctume you put quite some effort into your turn.

When Carefulrogue says vertical track, I think they mean ones going between z-levels. Example from Deathgame.

I strongly recommend using macros for this. Heck, I use them just for designating diagonal tunnels :P

I haven't quite completely understand the rocking horse effect of impulse ramps, that's why I don't try to make it in succession forts.
