You order the army to march forth and attack one of the camps!

Quote
5*

The northeastern camp is attacked by your horsemen and your spearmen and your archers, and it is destroyed. Most of the rebel soldiers die while the rest flees. News apparently reach the other camp fast as the scouts report after the battle that the other camp is now empty.

You ride into the fortified city and receive some cheering from the garrison of the city! The peasants simply scurry away from your way to make sure they do not anger you.

After a brief rest over the night, the commanders approach you.

"Sire! Lead us to Achton now!"

"No! My liege, lets march right into the rebel nest and wipe them out with a decisive strike!" You decide to...

A) March out and help capture the city of Achton.
B) March out northwest and attack Lady Eiri's city of Airach.
C) Wait and rest at Neisyne for a while.

Do we get any bonuses or reinforcement if we stop and rest?  If not, A

We've spent roughly 12 days resting from a gut wound. That's not nearly enough time, but here we are now. At this point the best thing we can likely do it press our momentum until they offer peace talks.

Attacking Airach without neutralizing Achton would leave a dangerous force in our rear - if that siege fails we might get our supply lines cut off and become isolated in hostile lands.

You lead your army to Achton!

By the next day your forces clash with the rebels who marched forth and attacked you thanks to hiding via forest. Only few scouts had time to report the attack and thus it allowed you to at least partially deploy your men in defensive position, which under guidance of someone less tactically-inclined could end rather badly.

Your forces suffer some casualties but that battle is won! This enables you to continue on to Achton, and shortly after joining the rest of your men who besiege the city, you are rushed to a tent for rest.

As the healers keep you down on a length of fur and re-examine your wound, you order your commanders to...

A) Prepare siege equipment and lead the attack against the walls of Achton.
B) Surround the city and wait till you recuperate and can lead your men again.

All the ancient authors agree that when there are still enemies about that can attack a besieger's rear, one either quickly takes the town by assault or invest it properly against attacks both from within and without... and our family has broken enough sieges to know how true this is.

Our flanks won't be secure until we have a contravallation line, and all that digging won't be necessary at all if we manage to take the city before the rebels can bring a relief force.

B. If enemy reinforcements come, lets pull an Alesia.
Alesia was a very close call against 4-to-1 odds, so close that it's now considered one of history's greatest military achievements. Even then, while famine affected the besieged Gauls in Alesia, the Romans were trapped in their enveloped lines with critical supply problems (the Gauls had collected all available food from the countryside) and ended up on 1/4 rations themselves; when the battle was finally met, GJC himself had to run about bolstering weak points, moving troops around and even had to personally join the combat a few times...a close thing, indeed.

Anyway, the Romans were surrounded themselves; had the defence failed, GJC's entire army would have been captured or killed.

You order them to surround the city and wait till you feel better.

Three days pass and the healers say the wound is doing alright, they just hope you will keep resting instead of causing it to bleed or fully re-open.

By the next morning, the siege continues, albeit scouts report that a rather moderately-sized force of mixed troops is coming from Airach. The commanders meet with you, to ask what to do and if you will lead them.

As for the choice of strategy...

A) Prepare the defenses to repel the attack.
B) Split the forces and send half to meet with the rebels.
C) Leave only small forces around Achton and the rest shall go fight.

As for your participation...

A) You will stay and rest in the tent, trusting the abilities of your officers.
B) You shall call for a horse and armor so that you can lead your men again!
