B. If enemy reinforcements come, lets pull an Alesia.
Alesia was a very close call against 4-to-1 odds, so close that it's now considered one of history's greatest military achievements. Even then, while famine affected the besieged Gauls in Alesia, the Romans were trapped in their enveloped lines with critical supply problems (the Gauls had collected all available food from the countryside) and ended up on 1/4 rations themselves; when the battle was finally met, GJC himself had to run about bolstering weak points, moving troops around and even had to personally join the combat a few times...a close thing, indeed.
Ahhh, but we have something that old Ceasar has no hope of matching! A +1 to our combat rolls! Heck, if we're forced into personal combat, all the better, since then we'll get +2.

I'm assuming that we spent the last few days building enough siege works to at least contain sallies:
C) Leave only small forces around Achton and the rest shall go fight.
A) You will stay and rest in the tent, trusting the abilities of your officers.

You order your officers to split your forces and find you a horse! The healers plead but you shall have none of it while your kingdom is suffering from a split!

In few hours' time your men attack the approaching force and a big melee ensues.

Alas, the battle progresses poorly!

Then a bold knight rides forth pointing his lance at you! You do not recognize his crest, and you assume he must be a nobleman from one of those numerous yet small kingdoms in the north that were bought/coerced/convinced by Lady Eiri to back her cause.

A) CHAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGE!!
B) Run away! Run awaaaay!

Meh. Tactics bonuses are good, having 2-1 numeric superiority would probably have been better... But now that it has come this, I don't think that our hotheaded half-elf king would be able to restrain himself from yelling A) CHAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGE! at the top of his voice.

CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGE!!

And then you feel uneasy.

You manage to evade the impalement and then strike the knight in the head with your sword, and he falls off his horse!

Your guards then return to your side and the battle continues.

Quote
6*

After the initial uncertainty your forces manage to double their efforts and crush the rebels! Then you return to the siege of the city of Achton.

842 AD, Autumn

As the weeks pass, the healers continue to check on your wound and it is doing alright.

Your Aunt didn't send any other forces against you or other parts of the kingdom. Courtiers and commanders alike speculate if either she is low on manpower or is gathering troops for a major offensive.

Your beloved mother sent you a letter. The other parts of Kingdoms are doing alright and the only thing of worry were few incidents with followers of Damed at the southern border settlements (namely: two inn brawls, mugging of a Hurthling traveler and attempted vandalism against the temple of the Pantheon).

The city of Achton continues to resist, despite several attempts by your forces to breach the walls. However, by now, the city must be weak.

A) Prepare for a major assault intended to capture the city.
B) Leave a small force to continue the siege, and march toward the heart of Lady Eiri's territory.

B, assaulting fortifications is a really good way to kill your troops. Best to press on and wait for the city to starve into submission.

You order your officers to prepare for march out.

Three days later, less than a day of marching from Airach, your scouts bring news that there is a small mixed force of your Aunt's soldiers heading toward Neisyne and doing a long detour by northwest to avoid your forces. During a council with your commanders, you order them to...

A) Send your horsemen to harass and raid the marching rebels, but not directly attack them.
B) Send a larger part of your soldiers to face the rebels in a field battle.
C) Send but a mere warning to the garrison of Neisyne and inform them that you cannot devote troops to their defense this time.
