You have the grand festival approved and funded!
You do not need reports to know that it worked well! The Army got lots of aspiring recruits after the knight tournament hosted the unprecedented 128 contestants. The thanksgiving festival allowed the peasants to take peeks at the fights and jousting of the knights as well, and they kept chatting about the spectacle for weeks. It was a great success!

"Stillborn!? The curse was apparently lifted! What's the meaning of this?!"
"My liege!" The advisor takes you outside Aolineniya's bedroom. "I told you, before we understood that curse was the cause, that there are slight anatomical differences. Maybe you should slow down with the baby-making and let our beloved Queen to rest and recuperate."
"And you mean what exactly by that?"
"Mayhaps you should plan for a child every... two, three years? I'm pretty sure that the Queen wishes for a boy just as much as you, but if you two continue with the frequent feats of procreation, her womb might get damaged in some unexpected way."

825 AD, Spring
The priests of the God of the Hunt have arrived at your castle.
"My liege, we have studied the omens and signs of the gods of the forest, and we have concluded that this spring is the anniversary of the Hunt of the White Stag that happens about once per generation of men! As tradition dictates, we hope that you shall join other high nobles and our hunter-priests in hopes of capturing a white stag to bring good luck and prosperity for our beloved country for next few years!" He smiles, scratching his chin.
"Of course, we will need a little bit of donations from Your Majesty's coffers to cover the expenses..."
A) Traditions are worth upholding and spending money on! Let's do the hunt!
B) You do not have time nor money to really waste on such frivolous things, and therefore you will not participate.
