Lillian searches on her phone for any news articles about anything similar to Valencia's case having been brought up before. Unless the school has a death grip on the local papers, it's doubtful that parents would be quiet about something like this.

Snowy, still "fighting" with the PDA, notices Umbra drawing nearby. "Oh, you here, Um... Umbra. You lucky to have small, puny human finger ! This thing only work if you have 'em !" he angrily declares, shaking around the PDA in frustration.

((Wow, sorry, I misread your post and didnt see the part where Umbra helps with the PDA, I'm gonna fix this now))

Suddenly, as Snowy was about to snap, Umbra lends a helping hand. Snowy, pleasantly surprised, thanks her "Oh ! Thank for that, human girl. I am a (snow)man of honor, so if Umbra need favor, me help."

Lillian finds several occasions where a Super's lineage has determined their path in life.

Lea finds quite a listing of low ranked and low scoring heroes and villains.

Finally, Samuel wraps up the tangent he was on, "Pardon me for that long winded line of thought. Were was I...." he flips through some papers, "Of course. As I stated before, the HEROPDA is an essential tool for your Hero or Villain Careers. It will alert you to monster attacks, potential jobs for you to do for additional earnings, and it will store your payment information whenever you get paid. Moving on to the benefits of being a Ranker, At the end of each weak you will be paid 500 credits, with an additional 200 Credits as an Allowance. You are free to do as you please with your credits. Finally, Widow would like to say a few things."

widow nods and approaches the mic, "It was brought to my attention yesterday that a couple of your classmates were assigned the wrong course. This does happen occasionally due to various circumstances. It is REM's job to assign students to the course that will most benefit their powers, so that they get the best training to use and control said powers. However, in some cases, neither course will work. This happens a lot with powers that are handed down via a lineage trait. for these special cases, REM is forced to place the new user in a course that their parent took, or were known for." Widow sighs and begins speaking again, "This year we have heroes and villains coming from special lineages, both famous and infamous. Students, please be kind to your fellow classmates, regardless of their course selection. At Avalon Academy, we are not enemies, but family." Large groups of students begin clapping as Widow steps away from the mic. Samuel approaches the mic briefly to dismiss the assembled students.

Radia does not clap. At least she attempted to explain. Not going to make her less likely to try.

BE drops his PDA in surprise and begins clapping loudly with all four hands. He wished it tasted better..

Kohaku claps politely, but has a thoroughly displeased expression on his face, before standing up and checking his schedule. He's hoping he has a chance to meet Mifune.

Syd is happy about the parks but he dosnt clap for what was said about the not being able to choose your course depending on family, "Well that's not fair!" After making that statement he leaves for the dog park across the street

Argus approaches Widow, or any of the administration in the area, after the assembly ends.

"If you don't mind...Why is REM 'forced' to place a person in a course their parents would have taken?

I'm a Hero, for instance, as my mother before me, but is it impossible that I could have wanted to be a villain?  And conversely, and especially so, why is it seen fit to impose villainy on a student that wishes to be a hero?  It seems directly counterproductive to the system's goals."

Argus does find Widow, waiting for the students to leave the auditorium, "In your instance, you were assigned the course you asked for. Your specific power set did not have any special circumstances needed for it's training. As for Valencia, as you subtly imply, her powers are the same as a notorious villain from many years back. REM has stated that the best way for her to control those powers is to train her to be a villain. A girl like her will learn to control them. It's in her very blood. What isn't is the evil that her grandmother had. REM has high hopes for Valencia, like he does for everyone that attends here. Samuel and I also trust REM's judgement. He has a way of being impartial to conflict." Widow sighs and notes to Argus that most of the students have left the room, "Best head out yourself. I hear that the cafeteria has catering today." Widow turns and leaves, heading out the faculty door nearby.
