Flower: "...a flower. A big flower. The world is made up layers, you see, with people and all sorts of creatures living in between the petals. All mundane stuff in between except for the flower petals, yes? When the flower blooms, the sky is just sky and the little organisms go on with life. When it closes though, the petals get all tumbled together, making the sky into other petals. Instead of the sky inhabitants would see another world, on the opposite petal you see. Closeness betweens petals allows easy movement between otherwise far-off locales. The most inner layer would of course not be a petal but the pistil with the ovary inside being most life-giving; the cradle of life in fact."
