At least on face value a Hillary victory would go a loooong way towards breaking down the "White Male" domination of the USA... So long as she doesn't mess up.

Even if... She only had a chance of winning the first time because it was a double minority (and Male won)...

And this time she had to face Donald Trump... an open bigot and sexist with no political experience and terrible business practices... and an even worse platform.

Goodness... never freeken mind... The stars had to freeken align to get a woman into the White House.

I am prepared, Cizin; roast the Earth in the flames of your cigar, and add our eyes to your death collar; end this madness we call "life"

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Just think, this is Poetic Justice against The DNC and Hillary for rigging the Primaries against Bernie...

One small problem: the primaries weren't rigged.
They weren't "rigged". Just incredibly biased against Bernie, with collusion between the Clinton Campaign and the media at every turn. The DNC, which is supposedly a non-partisan organization, pulled out all the stops to elect Hillary Clinton.

A Trump victory is great news for progressives, really. It's the end of an era: centrist, establishment policy doesn't cut it anymore. In a battle between unbridled populist rhetoric and focus-tested party-line corporatist ideology, the populist wins: even if he's an orange buffoon.

Maybe a real left-wing party will rise from these ashes.

But Centrist politics... IS a good thing.

The problem is that the USA doesn't represent Centrist politics as they are representative of the Swing States a lot of the time... and often not even the Swing states but a "High turn out voter" members of the swing states.

On the contrary.
Here's the agenda for the US.
Abortion is illegal.
Action against climate change is stopped.
Discrimination against LGBT is legalized for all purposes: housing, medical, education, the works.
Obamacare is gone.
Pollution regulations repealed.
Tax cuts for the wealthy at the expense of everybody else.

Among other things.

I'd at least wait for more counties west of the Cascades to report in before calling it for the Republicans.  Not enough traditionally-Democratic strongholds have reported in yet; the counties that have, Seattle environs excepted, are naturally as red as neighboring Idaho, so they'll artificially skew the numbers so long as they're the only ones finished.

Neonivek, nearly every time I read one of your posts I'm left wondering if we're even living on the same planet.

I don't know what you mean. Typically it is a misunderstanding so can you elaborate?

Maybe. I'm willing to believe in Seattle.

Meanwhile, the race for Michigan grows tighter, while another state bumps off the wagon... I may have to reexamine numbers again.

And to think that whenever I propose that a constitutional monarch should work as a counter-force to the elected leadership, everyone seems to believe I am an escaped lunatic.

No but srs, I wish there was a king to rein in the worse of his possible excesses. That would go for both, certainly, but I doubt Hillary will be able to do very much in this climate, should she win.

A king!?!? So have some stupid inbred jackass that doesnt know the rigors of everyday life try to rule a nation again. America had fought against kings!!!

Would the Republican-led congress actually be supportive of Trump? I mean, Republican leaders were all "Trump's an ass, we're not entirely supportive of him..." so... a good thing? Silver-lining?

clutching at straws..?
