Did you accidentally turn their labors off, are they in a burrow, can they actually get out of the hole you dug (i.e. did you accidentally a ramp or a stair or something), can you at least get them to dig out more of the hole... I'm just spitballing here lol

They're definitely not trapped, as they went to the wagon to eat and drink earlier. I tried fiddling with their labors and it didn't do much. I'll try fiddling more though.

Apparently I left the game unpaused for a good period of time and they eventually built it on their own. However, now the FPS is 12. Looks like I'm backing up to an earlier save.

EDIT: Welp, looks like it didn't back up the earlier saves for some god-forsaken reason. Looks like we're abandoning the fortress and re-embarking. Gonna have to alter the story in the OP at this point!

Dibs on the first dwarf to likely be killed in glorious battle I MEAN UH the uhm, The militia commander, yeah. Or a sergeant, barring that. If I'm gonna die horribly I'd like to die setting an example of some sort. preferably taking at least one enemy with me (which I probably won't.)

Re-embarked. As far as the story is concerned, this is the first expedition, but we found an abandoned wagon with a little hovel dug out nearby. I'll explain it properly in the first journal entry.

EDIT: Well, looks like kobold blood rain causes dwarves to briefly lose their shit in run in a random direction, screaming and crying. We're three days in and we're already doomed at this rate!
