In all honesty, most meltdown-based stuff is a bad tradeoff considering most of her actual 'powers' are within her ability to fuck your shit up because she's a master sharpshooter (or illogical in lore because the armor is clockwork-powered); all the armor does is put her up to superhero durability levels (which would just be game-balancing), as it does nothing to boost her marksmanship or ability to be a cop.

If it wasn't for the fact that Trained heroes wouldn't have simulated what Gear Sheriff armor does well, I would've gone with that.

Also, it'll be irritating if Lillian can't get a replacement for her Gear Sheriff armor and her rifle if they get stolen, as I sort of envisioned the character as being a Henshin Hero more than anything else.

In all honesty, most meltdown-based stuff is a bad tradeoff considering most of her actual 'powers' are within her ability to fuck your shit up because she's a master sharpshooter (or illogical in lore because the armor is clockwork-powered); all the armor does is put her up to superhero durability levels (which would just be game-balancing), as it does nothing to boost her marksmanship or ability to be a cop.

I imagine she'd probably be either able to reclaim it as part of a quest, or build a new set wot with dem superbrains she has.

Spoiler: Emerald Star's Drawbacks (click to show/hide)

Choose one!

1. Cold and Wet: Emerald Star's species is very gifted, but at their core lies a particular reliance-on fresh water. Her skin, usually rubbery and resilient, becomes something like clay if not properly moistened often enough.

Effect: Emerald Star must be doused in fresh water (or just be in it's direct vicinity) at least once every day or two. Going too dry for too long will degrade all her stats and powers.

2. A Ticking Clock: Part of Star's awakening was the realization that she was dying quite slowly due to this cursed worlds 'second sun'-its radiation, which empowers the native primitives in strange and wonderful ways, has quite a deleterious effect on her body. Unless she wants to become a blob of interestingly labeled alien goo in a mason jar, she'll have to unravel buried genetic secrets in her own mind, and apply a counter measure...

Effect: Emerald Star's stats and powers will slowly degrade over the course of the game due to the second-sun. She must search for and engineer a genetic cure to her malady, or perhaps something else entirely. This can primarily use her Science [Genetics] ability, but the exact solution is entirely up to her.

Final Note: Remember, the drawbacks come with hidden strengths-such as developing aquatic based powers for free, or unlocking more genetic secrets and memories into abilities.

Both were tempting, but I ultimately went with A Ticking Clock because water powers didn't sound terribly useful.

So, you know. Hurry up, people!

I can't decide which one to take. The "evil clone" one seems really comicbook-y, and the other one seems really thematic and/or realistic.

Personally I think the evil clone one sounds far more fun.

Choose one!

1. ChaossoahC: Few people know that Eins und Zwei do not actually 'split', so much as they exist in two alternate realities concurrently. The Clock Queen theorized in a temporal symposium (hosted in her time-blimp, above the ashes of radioactive alternate Earth #511) that the pair was in fact doing the opposite-instead of duplicating themselves, they merge their separate realities into one whole, only to unwind them back later. She may have been a bit tipsy, in her own defense...

Effect: Whenever Eins 'duplicates', she induces dramatic (and random) chaotic changes in the world, much to the ignorance of the people around her. These changes can range from harmless (switching the gender of all her teammates), to helpful (one of her teammates is suddenly healthy because they dodged that attack instead of taking it in the face), to quite unpleasant (Wimpy Street thugs become Rampaging Elephant Demons). Rewinding the changes is easy as 'unduplicating', forcing the respective realities into their own corners...however, this also can have odd effects...

2. Don't make me turn this time-blimp around: Eins and Zwei are more like squabbling sisters than perfect clones, made worse by the fact that Eins clearly got the lions share of power-however, Zwei will happily pillage that resource, if the mood strikes her. Much to the consternation of their mother.

   

Effect: Zwei is a brat, and has only half the stats of Eins-but can 'steal' statistic points from Eins to empower herself. Which she frequently does.

3. Dreiowth, that's right!: It was sort of confusing when a third 'sister' showed up-a being that called itself "Dreiowth". They were unsure if she was some sort of weird space echo, an alternate reality intruder, past or future Eins or Zwei, or some of temporal parasite that latched on to them, but she quickly became 'family'. Dreiowth is both like and unlike Eins and Zwei, in that she seems able to take different forms for herself, by inhabiting an entire multiverse of 'twins'. The only similarity being that she always has a single horn in the center of her head. Drei is not entirely helpful, though far from malcious-she tends to do 'pranks' that amuse her, and blame them on Eins. Alternately, her attempts to 'help' usually end in GM mandated disaster.

Effect: Eins must contend with a triplet of clones, only this one can shapeshift to any alternate form and is not tied to her duplication ability. Dreiowth is particularly unhelpful, and actively sabotages the party for her own frequent amusement. She is prone to terrible puns and bad jokes at the worst possible times.

Much choices, I hope I made it hard for you. Remember, most of these 'drawbacks' have indirect benefits as well.

We already have a evil clone, I suppose, but dreiowth does sound fun...
1 seems like it could be amusing, but 2 was probably closest to what I envisioned. Hmmm.

I think the 'not holding together' for Radia seems better.  Laser decohering.

I prefer 1 for Eins und Zwei.

Yeah, those ones are pretty tough. I think I'd go for #2, but I think I'd be even more tempted to ask Dwarmin if you can just have them all than I was for mine.

I think that's 3/4 for clone and 1/4 for time limits. Of course, it's easy to vote for watching somebody else being eaten by their villainous double, so it's understandable if you're leaning towards something else.
