Choose one!

1. Wealdheart: Wymond's powers are fueled by potent, ancient magicks tied to the soul of the Earth. He is weaker in places where technology and civilization have encroached so far as to damage the natural world-yet, a city that lives mostly in harmony with nature (like Farfield) would not harm him.

Effect: Wymond receives penalties to his prowess and strength stats ranging from -2 or worse, depending on the healthiness of the land at his direct location. Heavily polluted or industrial areas will effect him noticeably removing his invulnerability power.

2. Crusader's Heart: Wymonds powers depend on him keeping his faith-if not in any spiritual or Godly force, then in himself and his abilities...or, that of his friends and allies.

Effect: If Wymond's loses more than half his total stamina, he must make a willpower check equal to the effective damage of that attack-if he fails, he loses a point of Will-and, it also damages strength and prowess for double the amount. If he fails this first roll, he must make a another check if he is struck and not downed, possibly losing another point. Passing the roll, however, means he no longer has to roll during that particular encounter.

This effect can be at most two points of Will damage, for up to four points in prowess and strength. This temporary damage is recovered if he recovers his lost will, usually by resting, expending determination, or his allies efforts on his behalf.

3. From the heart, to the hand: Wymond knows at an instinctual level that 'Anna'-whoever she is-imbued his shield with amazing powers. These same powers that strengthen his arm and sinew, however, are not entirely his own. He knows that those powers are hers to call back...

Effect: Wymond's powers are tied to his shield, and the shield is tied to this 'Anna'-she can consciously suppress his prowess and strength up to 4 points each, and remove his shields invulnerability power at will.

Final note: Remember, most of these drawbacks come with the corresponding hidden strengths-such as a stat boost in a natural, pristine area. Or allowing Anna to strengthen and improve your abilities (assuming she's friendly!).
