The
ICThe world ended. Not in rioting and looting and destruction. But, in silent peace.
The air of the world vanished without a trace, leaving most of the unprepared masses dead or dying. Only a handful of the populace survived, including your group of close friends, and some people scattered across the globe in sealed bunkers (not known as vaults).
You (Leslie) and your close friends were staying together at your house in rural Oklahoma, somewhere between Tishomingo and Madil. Your parents were avid preppers and made a shelter that was airtight and self sustaining. You were cleaning the filters on the air purification system, when your friends and parents stumbled in looking absolutely terrified. Your parents initiated the lockdown sequence, sealing the airlock doors from the inside. That is when the world ended.
In the weeks afterwards, the parents went out looking for supplies/more survivors. They never came back.
The only communication with anyone outside of the bunker is an old HAM radio.
There's been only one person on the radio since the end. Jimmy is his name. He lives in New York City. He has remained on the air about as long as your group has been. About three days ago, his side went quiet. Everyone took a vote. Four out of five said you should go look for him. The other one said it was stupid and dangerous, but went anyway.
You are on your way across the US to check on your friend. It'll be a long journey, frought with hidden perils. But you think you can make it.

This is my first professional attempt at a game. It was inspired by a post my friend showed me. I hope you and I both end up enjoying it. I will be using a d20 for the rolls. This is mostly real life with a sci-fi twist.

You have a suit that allows for travel in the vacuum of outside. It consists of thin plastic and airtight padding surrounding the body and a NASA grade space helmet. There are two types of suit available at the moment:
Standard, Which has two mod slots and room for one tank of air. It has a lot of padding and protects against the rigous of the temperature fluctuations outside, as well as any damage that is normal, like stepping on a nail or falling on broken glass. It does hamper movement. +4 Defense; .50 speed modifier; 2 mod slots
Modable, which is a homemade suit with six mod slots l and room for 2-6 days of air, depending on the mods used. However, it has one flaw. It provides no protection from damage unless modified to do so, but has no base movement reduction. 0 Defense;
1.00 speed modifier; 6 mod slots
