Well, I mean, theoretically, she and her dad might run into any character in the game who lives in the game's present day, long as they live around any area that her dad might reasonably have worked in.

Simply because I hate writing (and don't particularly like reading) in a dialect, I'll just say that Kate tried really hard to learn "proper" English.

I'm not saying that the characters are going to develop hardcore accents either, but it wouldn't be unreasonable for bits of the regional vernacular to seep into their speech, especially if they're younger. That's just what happens as a result of acclimating to a new environment, of course, it's also depends how long you've been there for. Like I doubt my character would begin using any Cajun or French terms early on.

The majority of my theoretical characters are starting on the farm. Or at least the twins and Tori.

Tori is, as mentioned, a super-sheltered socially uneducated gunmage with metal powers. In her original game she literally didn't know what a handshake was, but in this one she might have been around people enough to pick up the basics, if not very much tact.

The twins would vary; guy is a bit brash and a Large Ham (which you get if you've ever been on TvTropes), girl is more reserved and polite.

I'm considering saying "Screw indecision" and just making both.

Actually, are we allowed multiple characters? If we are, I'm giving Emilia an older brother figure. Likely an ex-Farm resident who got picked up by Emilia's father, so that we have some cursory link between the Farm characters and ham imouto loli.
