Gimli the dwarf, I mean John Ryse-Davies, is outraged for not being allowed to vote. The 72 year old actor was born and raised in the UK, born from Welsh parents. But because he has been living on the Isle of Man for over 30 years, he is considered to be living outside of the UK for too long, and is not allowed to vote.

According to him, the Isle of Man has been a part of the Kingdom for centuries. "These people fought side to side with you against Napoleon and Hitler. If hundreds of years of shared history in war does not give a say in matters, what does?"

I feel like it'd be strange for them to vote on leaving the EU when the Isle of Man isn't in the EU.

By that logic they should be letting the Dutch vote, too.

But, eh. Man isn't in the UK, it's a self-governing crown possession. Price of independence is not getting a seat at the table.

They're allowed to vote if they've been on the electoral register of the UK in the last 15 years, it's more that John's been out of the UK for twice that time. British citizens themselves who have surpassed that time limit will also not be voting in the referendum. The dispute is then that the Isle of Man is a part of the UK, which would have unfortunate implications for their legal status as an entity separate of the United Kingdom.

I do recall their coverage on the Haiti Earthquakes was notably of higher quality than all other news outlets in the USA, which was surprising - Fox News being the only ones not portraying Hatians as one step away from rioting, but actually getting together to help themselves rebuild

Otherwise their other redeeming quality is that their hosts are usually 10/10 americans

There is nothing else for you to "yeah but" in this context unless you a referring to Fox News, which would not make sense
