I haven't. If you downloaded the save and started to get migrants it's because you haven't set the population caps on your copy of the game.

Oh cool. Thanks! I always thought hall of legends was for completed forts but now I see active in there as well.

As a side note, does anyone know if the qualifications for strange moods has changed? I've noticed that I haven't had one since upgrading the save from 40.24 to 43.05. The dwarves used to get one as soon  as they turned one years old. I doubt I've reached the item cap, or the exposed terrain cap, but maybe.

Anyways thanks again for all the support and the nomination. Great group of people here!

You could try making a separate save and running the strangemood command in dfhack. That'll tell you why you can't have one.

I know there's a way to get books and such into a 42.04 save, ask NCommander about that, he did it in Doomforests.

update the raws i think, just take the raws from the df>raws folder and put them in the df>data>save>archcrystal>raw folder

It's more complicated than that. Copying the raws could break the save.

It's more complicated than that. Copying the raws could break the save.

ive done it before, thats how i update tilesets.

it should work so long as the saves raws dont have something in them that the newest versions raws dont have, like say a mod that adds new creatures

I'm not using any mods, just the phoebus graphics pack. I haven't had a crash in a very long time mostly because I don't run dfhack with it even back when it was in 40.24 which seemed to cause a few problems. So is it just a copy paste type scenario?

thats how it worked for me, i would advise you to make a backup just in case though

how unfortunate, i must have misunderstood when today said "you will need updated raws to get scholars and taverns"
