Bandage our wounds and the wounds of our boar. Feed him some bug cakes for a job well done. Loot the human corpses and take inventory of our total loot. Kill the last human with the axe. (I'll be damned if we don't get some axe skill out of this somehow) Wonder if we have gained any skill in animal handling/riding or any weapon skill. See what Throlu is going on about.

Kill the last human with the axe. (I'll be damned if we don't get some axe skill out of this somehow)
-1 to this. The human might be useful, if we need to we can tie him up using our ropes or kill him later in a more creative fashion.
Bandage the wounds of us, our boar, and the wounds of the human, he might be a useful prisoner. Or just ask Throlu if he has any more healing magic. After that, give our boar lots of bug cakes and talk to it in a soothing tone.

You slowly come to realize how you've very recently received a great many bludgeoning wounds and more recently slashing wounds. They ache and hurt quite a bit. You manage to get off your boar, and notice that there's blood coming from those slashed wounds on your shoulder and torso. You then realize you really have no bandages, medical supplies, or medical training. While you don't believe your wounds are immediately fatal, you have no way to really deal with them from your experience.

Thankfully, Throlu comes up to you with what you imagine is the same small pouch from before, closing its hands around it, staring with eyes closed. Your bruises fade somewhat and your wounds seal somewhat. Seal, not exactly heal. The bleeding seems to have stopped almost completely and will probably stop shortly entirely if not disturbed. You recognize that Throlu had previously done this on himself earlier. You are unsure what trick this is but you do seem to feel better for it having been performed. You were aching quite a lot, now you are not.

The boar just isn't going anywhere for a bit. It eagerly eats as many bug cakes as you will give it, and oinks in lament of the wound on its rear flank. You try to comfort the boar but how on earth can anyone know if something like that would work. He keeps right on oinking, but at least he's not pacing in a circle / charging back and forth.

Throlu still seems somewhat worried, though not nearly as much as before, which was panic. He says,

"That .... I don't even know. We have to get some rest somehow for that to heal and we can't be caught with these two dead...." He manages to put some more local plant life into his fur, and hurriedly gathers some large sticks, logs, and lots of local plant life and wants to set about building a temporary shelter that he relates to you will be really well hidden. It is starting to get towards evening.

Meanwhile you have two and nearly three dead humans on your hands. Throlu reluctantly tends to the still living one but he's unsure if there's much to be done for him. Meanwhile you look to the bodies of the other two humans and find the following easily

2 Human sized breastplates, (metal, won't fit you)
2 pair leather leg pieces (human sized)
2 pair leather arm pieces (human sized)
2 swords (and the nearly dead one has a sword as well)
3 waterskins
3 day's trail rations (one per human)

Throlu mentions that these may be part of some patrol or on some mission or who knows. They aren't stocked for long term travel and he is afraid they might be missed by someone.

What do you do?

Ask throlu to build the temporary shelter around the boar and the wounded human see if he can incoprate the thorns into the structure. Also try to quiet our boar and give it some water, eat some bugs for ourselves.Bury the dead humans if we can.

+1 to building the shelter around the boar, it doesn't necessarily have to be built around the human as well does it?  They could just drag him in after it's done.

and give our friend a sword.

Find a large rock and hammer the human armor flat. Use this and some rope to create a patchwork armor for our boar.

Aye. We don't need the last human alive. We attacked them, remember? Unless we have a plan for him, we're better off just letting him go. That said, if there are humans around this area, we REALLY should not be here for much longer.

Humans have hunters and rangers. They'll track down the patrol, and they'll track down us. That's a big no no. Three people being ambushed is one thing. A goblin hunting party is another. We should probably gone within the day.

In defense of keeping the human alive, Throlu knows his way around, but does he know the patrol pattern of the slavers, the training they get, and most importantly of all, who or what these slavers were hunting for? It's not like the human is a threat and he knows we are the only reason he is still alive right now so he should be cooperative, besides its useful to have a hostage if we get discovered.

Keep the human alive for now. We can't unkill him. Worst case, he dies later, after he tells us what he knows. Throlu knows about the Ogre ruler, his underlings, and stuff generally, but he stays away cause there's a bounty on his kind. This human might have recent information. Let's not waste the intelligence he has if nothing else.

If nothing else, question, and then kill him, and that's worst case scenario.

(OOC: Yeah, it's pretty close. I figure you can just kill him a little later if you really want and that way the half that don't want him dead are ok and the half that do can have it then? This way you have options; if you really wanna, you could probably just kill him in his present state anyhow whenever.)

Throlu builds an impressive shelter, which it seems the Zuffen often do....He finds "Y shaped sticks for the front and back each (as wide around as you wrists). These hold a cross beam large branch (as wide around as your upper arm). Then he finds sticks to make a ribbing all along the length of it. From there he throws forest debris (leaves, pine needles, twigs, etc) over the ribbing. From there he digs out the floor about a foot with a neat little folding shovel and packs the dug out dirt around the edge of the thing. After that he goes and puts more forest debris over the whole thing again, at least 2 ft of debris. The effect is remarkable and quite camoflauged.. Evidently, Zuffen hide very well, and maybe that's why you haven't heard of them.

He attepts to do anything around the boar, who simply will not have it and is boarish....

You let your prisoner live ... for now. He becomes conscious next to you with a start,
"Who're you? You belong to Plovin? What're you doing out here?"

What do you do?

Tell him to shut up, ax near our off hand and club firmly in the other, tapping the ground. Say he can answer questions or hurt a lot more. Shoot it right back at him and let him know where he stands. He can see that axe just past us, where we can reach it and he can't. He also knows he's unarmed and unarmored. The basic idea is that things may not go well for him if he resists.

"Your name? What you're doing here? Where you from? Start there."

If he resists, hit him.
