Yours, no apology needed other than by me if at all. There could be tactical advantage to delaying the game, especially for a unit like yours which normally must move. Or to just get more people to have more time to join your team.

I'm not sure this new rule is the best or what we'll stick to to solve this problem and suggestions are welocme. But until I find something better it will be.

I could make it real time, such that you could move your character after an amount of time has passed. I'm not sure that would be better yet.

Elephant's turn.

Edit: Yknow I could do mixed, so those that perfer turns can pick a unit that can only go after an enemy has, and others may choose one with a cooldown...

(Have the players PM their moves to you, after you've decided your move, and after a period of time, post the board showing all who have moved. Prioritize attacks so that if a character landed nearby another player, the couldn't just move away to dodge the attack.)

Thats a great idea, I'd probably do it one team at a time.

However, I am researching methods of making my games host themselves, I find that kind of thing fascinating.

So how about team captains? Each team appoints one(or just first person who wants the job) then captains take turns updating the game :)

Now if you start to think of this as a moba ish experience. The creep could be simple units like pawns and checkers. Then when a team has fewer numbers they can perhaps move those...
Maybe an inferior version or something to the one you're using idk.

I'd love a game that GM's itself. I have many ideas, and I love Worldbuilding, but when it comes to GMing, I don't care for it much. If you find something useful in your endeavors, let me know, that would be awesome.

Team captains sounds okay, but you'd probably have to make a new game for that. This game isn't really attracting interest anymore, by the looks of it.

(And a moba version of this would be cool to. Simple pieces for the creeps, I could see that working.)

Well, I'd be remise to give up an a game with 3 active players.

Here are some ways that have been successful, atleast partially, so far.

Bay 12 Inn. Players can create missions for the mercinaries, and do them themselves. More theoretical than a working thing, but I feel it has potential to live up to it.

Animal Crossing on Forums. This one is working. I still need to build some infustructure, but  I can exist without me, and I'm pretty optomistic it will work out I will learn plenty from it either way.

What else, the other thing is, I hold mafia as the standard barer for a quality forum game, so that is a goal to strive towards to, every host should try to make their game fun, unless that's the point or something.


Yeah I could even switch this game to captains easy enough. Really its a clear port.

However its your turn, lets see how this goes, you still move more and I want to see what that means! For balance.

Salsa, you are your team's captain. Elephant will be this teams. I will step out, going on to a waitlist. When there are a pair the captains can offer a spot, and the rookie will accept publicly here. People can put down a preference for a team or being with a player.

The most important benefit of this, is that turns wont take days to come back around with a lot of players, and it doesnt even change the game until there are 4.
You will be able to pass off team leader to a rookie if they want.
I will bounce checker back a space to balance the extra turns, and that should account for everything.
