Bluexdog, in general it is poor form to not be specific in regards to movement. "As close as possible" and "Anyone nearby" are not easily translated to movement on a grid based map.

What I think Giglamesh meant, was you should go to 16-8 to heal Brecht, then canto 12-8; this works because mounted units, after non-attack actions, can use the rest of their move.

I'm not going to tell you specific actions to take, only general, since this is to help you learn to play yourselves.

But you must be specific with your commands.

"Heal anyone near you" or "move close to X as possible" are useless as commands go. As a medic, it's perhaps the most vital for you to give clear actions so the people needing healing can be healed.

Also, as a unit with canto, you can use up any remaining move after you take an action. So you can trot up to heal someone, and then canto towards the next person in line.

But once again, be specific. Coordinates and names.

Indeed. Generally either the situation is recoverable - in which case people can be healed - or it rolls over and everyone dies.
There tends to be very little middle ground, which is one of motivations between DSE, actually.
