Quote
[6, Poor] It looks like it's melting. Which it is, but it looks like it's been melting for a while and is about to fall apart, which just isn't true. Okay, yes, it'll probably fall apart the instant you look away, but it's fine right now! Fine-ish.
Minor Action: Okay, what if I bake it in a fire, so that it doesn't melt?
((The animating force is a bigger concern than the material, though you could certainly do better on that front also. Quick golems are temporary golems.))

"Yes yes! The duplicity is now complete and our working together shall certainly and undoubtedly become the most fruitful and least deadly to the participants gathering of mages within recent or not so recent times! What I require is simple and not at all hard by reckoning although possibly quite difficult by others! I need to convince these lay about civlians to proceed with work on my laboratory and work area which is certainly the greatest and most rewarding task they could possibly be a part of short of possibly slaying the gods of rain in this world! I shall give them their tasks and inform them of what I wish and when they inevitably look at me as if they or perhaps I have recently ingested a large number intoxicating poisons in that oh so infuriating tradition you shall convince them that my order is worth following! But first we must find and talk to Gruelfist to make sure that he will not seek eternal vengeance against us for these actions!"

Seek out Gruelfist and get his permission to snag carpenters, bureaucrats, miners, and the Architect for a relatively long term construction. Assuming he gives his permission, go out and try to convince them to work for me, with Miyas help if it's required. I don't have specific plans, I just want pens and pits that can hold beasts. And possible a work area with a roof if that can be fit in. If they, for whatever reason, think my prepicked area sucks and can find a better one, sure, I'll do as they wish.
You find Gruelfist having a meeting with Blacktongue, which from what you can overhear mostly consists of the ogre attempting to convince the gorgon to do actual work. He pauses his attempts to meet with you, however.

"Well now I'm afraid that's a bit of a problem, you see the colonists, see they're not very happy about our current moisture levels. First order of business is almost assuredly to get them some proper living accommodations, which as I'm sure you'll understand requires the services of our good architect, lumberjacks, and carpenters.

The miners and bureaucrats have a little less to do, though I reckon we may need some channels dug for the water."

((I do not know how to deal with this.))

Minor action: Get a bureaucrat to deal with the spoiling medical supplies.

"The medical supplies are all going to be ruined by the rain because some imbecile didn't waterproof the crates and I'm not authorized to claim half of a ship deck for drying space."
((Constant rain was the best idea. :P))

[11, Good] The bureaucrat you find seems rather flustered and alarmed at this, and immediately scurries off to warn Gruelfist. Not long after he returns for clarification as to how ruined. He then scurries off again, and soon some goons arrive to haul the bandage crates to Gruelfist's ship, where the bureaucrat assures you they won't be rained on directly.

He notes that they're probably not dry, however, and claims Gruelfist didn't think it mattered a great deal.

In a thoughtful and airy tone
If you let them sleep inside they might be happier to help? But I'm g-gonna go help.....Blacktongue.
Use holy magic to make a holy shield above blacktongue to protect blacktongue from the rain she will help convince the lumberjacks if absolutely nesscary.
[17, Bonus] Your shield comes out as a soft golden glow, protecting her from harm. Unfortunately "getting wet" is apparently not "harm," which seems to not solve her problem. She snarls something about you being a "glow-addled fool" after testing it.

Sjig taps his claws together as he listens to Gruelfist, flinching at the rejection, but assured by his own survival he ventures "Yes yes! Very true that this hated water is the cause of many issues that plague us and must be quickly remedied! This is why we mages are gathering together to place weather repelling wards into place to prevent this the wraith of the sky from consuming us yes! Soon these issues will be remedied and greater more pressing issues will return! Such as my pits! Certainly that is of reassurance enough to free at least some carpenters!"

Whelp, I'd best start following the soldiers around, I am one of the few people that can put them back in one piece again after all... and if they aren't doing battle, I could pick up some tips on killing things!

Minor Action: Brag to the Channelers about my greatness
[15, Good] They sort of believe you! Which makes sense, seeing as you're a "real" mage and a better channeler than them to boot.

Miya takes off her robes which does have a hood and is left in her underclothes and hands it to blacktongue
Miya sits down next to blacktongue.
Try to think of ways i could use magic to help stop or protect agasint the rain.
Blacktongue assures you she has no use for peasant clothes with a sneer. She does not seem to be a very solution-oriented person.

[1, FAIL!] Blood sacrifice! If you appease the dark gods of this realm with the blood of the innocent, it may amuse them to momentarily spare the survivors!

Gruelfist raises an eyebrow. "Stopping this much weather would be quite the feat, I suspect. We have nearly 300 individuals on this expedition, and a mere twenty carpenters to provide lodgings for them.

If you can stop this weather, I will most certainly permit you some carpenters, as a great many people would no doubt be more than happy to trade shelter for dry ground. Until then, I cannot in good conscience exchange dwellings for personal endeavors on the promise of a different solution in the near future."

((Yeah. The soldiers aren't really doing anything at the moment except perimeter guard duty and being miserable and wet, so I figured you meant follow them around in the coming week.

If you just wanted to chat with them while they huddle in the rain I could process that now.))

((Genius! Why didn't I think of that! Way better than my boring rainward plan))

"Yesssssssss! This is acceptable! Our plans will certainly come great fruition and many pits will be the result! Since this is a mission of the highest of importance I would presume that we may be allowed to use all of our channelers to the fullest extent of their abilities in our ceaseless battle against the elements!?!?"

((Uh-oh, I'm being too ambitious again? Need more channelers, stat! Criptfiend, ask Gruelfist for channelers! Channelers man!))

((I would assume that it's impossible to totally ward the whole area in just a week even with all of us, so I guess Sjigs plans are doomed to failure. But hopefully "failure to cover 100%" won't backlash into "total failure", even if we have a limited number of channelers...... BUT WHO KNOWS??!?! RIP US))
