Wallace hands over the hatchet to Captain Matthias. He walks back to the log, picks up his M60, and begins following Colonel Kepler to the vehicles.

"Yeah I've been on scouting missions, but I was usually the guy steering the boat. Someone else usually had the binoculars. I've just been sitting too long. I gotta get back doing something." The CPO admits. "But heck, you need not be worried Colonel. I ain't a Sea, Air, Land man for nothing. I got your back."

"It's fairly straightforward, Chief. Look and don't get seen. Pack light, we're not going to be out for long. Pack a radio and binoculars. I've got some paper and a compass, so we can actually tell the others what's out there."
Alan smiles and points to his rifle. "And I have yours. Though I hope all we'll have to shoot is food."

Matthias stated flatly, obviously not impressed, "No work. no weapons. This isn't a negotiation."

"Me too, Colonel." Wallace says. He then proceeds to reorganize his possessions. Wallace thinks about attaching his tripod to the M60, but in the end he decides that it felt a little too bulky for recon. He also takes a hand radio and a pair of binoculars.

"And then do what? They shoot deserters!
Give me my gun and i come with with you.
We need each other, I speak Russian you don't."
The Spetsnaz Serzhant replies in her broken English.

Peering briefly into the binoculars, Wallace sees a multitude of trees. He determines that the pair is in working condition and puts the it back into his pack. Other than the chatter of his relatively new acquaintances, it is still a rather quiet morning, just like the last few days. Maybe today is the last day of quiet, the last day of solace to be given by a forest that somehow hid them from the outside for so long. Or maybe it is not. Whatever day it will be, quiet or loud, Wallace feels he ready to face it. He hefts his machine gun and comfortably holds it in his arms.

"Hey Colonel, ready to head out?" Wallace asks.

You haven't even asked me where i was taking the supply's in Vodnik to?
You need me to guide you."

"I give you your sidearm back, and you help me with the wood. Show us that you're willing to help out and you'll get your primary weapon back too." Letting out a short breathe Marshal turned to go fetch her pistol from the stash before turning back "And don't get any ideas, if you shoot me, they'll be no one to patch you up when someone comes to put bullets in you." He tapped the red medical cross on his fatigues for good measure.

Matthias pointed towards the Vodnik, "Where were you going with that thing anyways? Sounds like you didn't get along very well with your comrades. Came with quite an arsenal."

Lilya checks the chamber of her Skorpion before holstering it and collecting an axe from the the Vodnik.

---"Where were you going with that thing anyways? Sounds like you didn't get along very well with your comrades. Came with quite an arsenal."

"Kalisz, that's where i was headed, they need supplys.
I am sick of the army, sick of being told what to do what to do by that jumped up shiny booted ass licker of a Major.
Why should he tell me what to do?
There nothing left in the east for me.
No now i chose who fight and i fight for me now."

Marshal pursed his lips thoughtfully as he listened to Spetsnaz.

"Supplies to Kalisz? What do they need this much ammo for? The plan is to head west, so if you have information on this area's situation I'd like you to share it, so we can all stay safe."

The thought of losing anyone else weighed heavily on his mind, and for a brief moment it was probably evident to anyone that looked before he realized that a braver face was needed. He had already seen too much death over the past 4 years.

Aaron looks up. "From what I have read of various wars, everyone uses more munitions than they think they will. And with resupplying unlikely to occur, well, most places cant make more ammo on their own. Infact, I imagine that alot of fighting in the next few years is going to be to get at ammo dumps."

Alan packs a bottle of water, then nods towards Wallace. "Ready to head out, chief. Let's go south, first."
