It's Coruscant in the "new" canon, unknown in the "discarded" EU canon, AFAIK.

Well, they're humans. As in, they're the same thing but different evolution and history and whatnot. While there always have been fan theories, canonically they're not some kind of time travelers from our Galaxy or whatever.

A long speech works for me, I wouldn't be able to provide the specifics, but a speech that doesn't involve a few summary execution, well, how else are you supposed to emphasise a particularly relevant passage?

The difficult part will be getting the timing right, a power fist through a stormtrooper at the wrong moment can really throw off the tempo...

Yeah no executions yet, besides we don't know this Empire stance of retreating troops or if these soldiers would actually respond to one of their fellows being shoot. We need to build up their comradeship and possibly their sanity before we start setting up firing squads.
