Come to think of it, your plot isn't going particularly slowly either, the players are just taking a while to decide on administrative tasks. And considering that a game I'm co-GM'ing takes half a month to get everyone's turns, it isn't too slow either.

What? A free-for-all wherein some of the characters flat-out can't die or are very near immortal? That's not going to work.

This. The fun of Danganronpa came from the fact that nobody could escape and everyone was a potential suspect. When you almost literally have a Danganronpa character as one of the main cast, it falls flat on its feet.

Solution:

Restart your Danganronpa RP.
That can have school-RP-like roleplay and horrible murder in the same game.

Well, there's also the issue of planning for players committing murder. You can't really write the case, then tell someone that that is what they did.

Well, the idea I had for that was just working with the player victim and murderer and making sure they're both okay with it or just rolling for a successful murder attempt.
