"Mordred, you mentioned moving people. Do you mind giving me a demonstration of how you would handle a party crasher that would not leave when politely told to go?"

Push Jack's lower jaw against his upper one so he can't say a word, push his arms against his body, and push him away from the table a few meters. Should be well within my power levels.

Thanks for bearing with me here guys. I haven't been feeling well. Stayed home from work tonight and slept. I think my brain is working now, so I'll ....welp, that's a lot of replies. Okay, here goes. Wish me luck.

so...what are you guy's trying to figure out exactly?
After having this question answered go to the cafeteria and talk to someone about safe intercourse as that is a topic Reggie has knowledge in thanks to a wise kind-hearted old man.
((Reggie would be willing to do the first mission with aylia if asked and if asked by a teammate would be willing to join the third mission.))
You attract a lot of attention, and a lot of advice, and a lot of laughter. Much of the advice is conflicting, confusing, or seemingly impossible, even with your shapeshifting talents. You make lots of new friends in Omega today.

discretely spit in the food where evef it is served at. Then go wander to where the aylia lady is.
You actually manage to get some of your saliva into a couple dishes before walking away unnoticed. Gross. You wait around and watch some poor sap eat it. Gross. Nothing happens. Looks like it might be direct mouth to bloodstream transfer only.

Roll off of my cushion, try to determine what it is exactly.
It appears to be a portly gentleman of some distinction. he has a mustache that even impresses bug people, all curly and sticking out sideways dramatically. it wiggles when he talks. he climbs elegantly, if rotundly, to his feet. "Ah, thank you, my lad. that was most uncomfortable. And somewhat painful. I trust you are uninjured? Tell me, how did you come to be flying about overhead in such an unguided fashion?"

Aylia is up for leading the party group. if that mission is canceled she would join in the raid on the mercs, Escort duty does also interest her however.

If equipment requisition is possible, I want clothes again, a composite shortbow, and a quiver of arrows.

What are team sizes and what information do I have on possible team members? Can I get more specific information about the mission and objectives?

edit: Oh, and what can I learn about the nature of my portrait? any info on it would be useful
Equipment requisition is possible. I was going to save it for after people made their mission choices, as some missions have different needs and all. You get your bow and arrows. they are sturdy and well made. Practical and simple, like they are made for combat, which they are.

Finish up fishy yogurt and express interest in participating in the party squad (first priority)! Maybe could also be persuaded to pull escort duty despite how shit that kind of work generally is (second priority)!

Failing all that, see if the cafeteria has any openings for brave munchkins such as myself (third priority). And if there aren't any, maybe consider taking up the combat mission (distant fourth priority).

Actually, that goblin thing sounds fun. Make that the second priority. Swap with shitty escort work.

preferences noted. Cafeteria volunteerism is a delightful addition to your resume, and you have been added to the roster.

Solam would prefer to be on the raid mission(Option 2). After that he doesn't care what job he gets, as long as it isn't staged here.
You are added to the list.

Clunkers stand up, stretching his legs and making sure his new programs are installed correctly. He looks down at his new iron leg.

"Sad statement: Now the feng shui of this one's body will be all out of whack. A pity.

Appreciative statement: The workmanship of your repairs is a testament to your skill, gnomes. This one is impressed by the quality."

Praise the gnomes on their skillfull craftsmanship. Also sign up for the Goblin mission as a first choice, whichever mission gets chosen after that one as a second choice.
The gnomes look at each other and yourself, beaming under such praise. They chitter for a moment, then make soem adjustments to your elbows, right shoulder, and head, and attach a few lines of metal wire to various points in order to attempt to rebalance the Feng Shui of your body. New Class unlocked: Feng Shui master. I want to see someone specialize in that and give me seizures as I try to understand enough Feng Shui to make it useful.

Edit: Yo are added to the combat mission list. You and a zombie sign up at relatively the same time in the same place, so feel free to interact with Zormod.

Retroactive RP with egan: The cat tilts its head to the side when he hears the demon's secret. "It is demon... Oh!  Dar'yajira has been called demon, by the twolegs.  The twolegs attempted to kill this one because it is demon.  But..." the cat pauses, and twists around to sniff at his own side.  He then continues, in a confused tone. "Dar'yajira smells, and is cat.  It does not smell, and is not cat.  How could both be demon?  Is demon twoleg name for non-twoleg, perhaps?"

In the future, after Dar's done talking with Jack, he'll go meet Aylia.  Does Aylia have any notable smell--in particular, would she smell like Dar's master, since both were shapeshifters who predominantly preferred cat forms?

My mission preference is 1/3/2, in that order.

Aylia smells woody, earthy, and feminine. She does carry overtones of cat transform, as well as raven. I would say that there are enogh similarities to draw Dar's attention. She wold be most like your master of anyone you've met so far, at any rate.

Reggie would eventually go to see Aylia.
Your new friends help direct you to her table, with an additional few bits of advice for impressing a lady. Let's hear your best pick up line, Reggie,

"Ah. Yes, Humans are fond of using the word all over the place. However, you are not a real Demon. Unless you're keeping something from me, hehe.
A Demon is a sort of self-sustaining magical reaction of negative emotion. In a way, I'm simply a shared hallucination of everyone around me, a personification of their personal difficulties, frustrations, and overall hatred. The mere presence of such a creature in turn subconsciously causes more internal pain, thus allowing the existence of a being of pure magic and emotion, arising simply from the minds of mortals.
So, uh, that's why Humans are scared of Demons. Hehe."

... I'd like to move my +1 in unarmed combat into General Knowledge. Seems more appropriate. :P

Later, Jack arrives at Aylia's office, and quietly waits behind the others.
[/quote]Stat moved. No Wedding for you. You could always try to bluff your way into the merc band, for fun and profit, or antagonize the hell out of the merchants. I'm sure they would looooove to have you along.

This is oddly ineffective. it's almost as if nothing is there to push against.

Reggie comes up with a small smile but a flash of....guilt in his eyes he seems less frail and a little bit less...offputting and in a semi cheerfully voice.

- There is a complication. His nature interferes with my way of doing these things. Hold on.

Subdue Jack manually.
Scratch that. If Jack is wearing any earthly clothes, use them to subdue him/her. If not, use my own ragged coat.

Ebony goes and talks to Aylia. "I'd like to go on the wedding mission. I consider myself somewhat rational, at least in comparison to many other Omegas, so I think that I would do fine on the mission."

((Report later if that's still needed))
Using the respec to bring Dex to 0, and Will and Speed to 0 and -1 respectively. Then, level up to bring Will to +1, and saving the Skill level for later.

Also, what scrolls do I have?

"I use magic, which is far more easy to conceal than what most Omegas use. We are supposed to be invisible to the important guests, and someone with a small book is far less noticeable than someone with a sword or bow. I'd have to take a look at what scrolls I have to check what other rolls I could fill."

you swing your coat at him. this is annoying but doesn't do anything useful.

Ebony goes and talks to Aylia. "I'd like to go on the wedding mission. I consider myself somewhat rational, at least in comparison to many other Omegas, so I think that I would do fine on the mission."

added. I mentioned your scrolls in the other thread:  "you have like eight scrolls now and one five page spellbook. Three of your scrools are: a "find item" scroll, a "identify magic" scroll, and an "unbind magic" scroll (which removes curses, spell locks, or other magic effects). You can pick the other five as you like. Tell me which you want to inscribe in your spell book too. Those will be permanent, and the scroll you inscribe from will disappear."

The five you got from the alchemist are alchemic spells, more useful here to the Omega Alchemists than to you, and they are willing to trade a comparable set of scrolls for them. Pick spells you like, or pm me some effects you want and we'll flesh them out.

"It boggles the mind that you thought that would work.
Now, if you two will refuse to see reason, I have no place here. I wish you luck, in spite of your poor judgement."

Okay, after some annoying waving of cloth at you, you drift off to redder pastures.

so...uhh what next?

So help me ... I am going to start rolling these things, people. Enjoy joining missions with broken thumbs fro ma failed dex roll. Or endless wandering around the complex due to going blind while looking for someone.

Clunkers looks over the feng shui attachments for a moment, then says to following to gnomes.

"谢谢"

Clunkers then goes over to the sergeant.

"Query: Do you have any information about either the goblins or the mercenaries that might help this one and its allies complete the mission?"

Ask above to sergeant. Also use computing to see what I need to cast clockwork magic. Also computing to see if these feng shui additions actually do anything for me.

((That wasn't really my full intention, but it's my bad for not making it clear enough. What I meant to do is to use the physical object I have power to manipulate (the coat) to interact with the object I cannot interact with directly (Jack).
Effectively, I imagine it would look like this: a coat flies off Mordred seemingly by itself and wraps Jack in a tight demon burrito.))

Please read the OOC remark for action clarification.

After some time silently flipping through profiles, occasionally tracing lines between them, "Fiddler, Ebony, you two are on the team, Arileth, thanks for volunteering but you're out this time. Eye, do you have an efficient way to communicate what you see? Mordred, what would you next idea have been if Jack didn't leave? Reggie, would you be willing to stay with a teammate assigned to you and follow their directions?"
