wander about.
You wander about. the smell fo food draws you to the cafeteria and you eat. that amazon you were flirting with last time is nowhere tobe found. that's probably a good thing, considering all the failed hijinks since then.
Play well into lunchtime until the queues subside, then settle in for a nice fish-based meal. Or really any kind of meal.
Fish yogurt it is. Delish.
Jack decides to go and check out the band, and blends into the crowd.
Be nicely inconspicuous. Look charismatic and don't smell like a human.
"oops! Excuse me, don't mind me. I'll just .. I'll just move along right over here and ... quit looking at me! Unclean, unclean1 Hah hah. I kid, but seriously, great music huh? Yep, I sure like the noises and stuff. You too? Neat!"
Leave them to their empty mansionhive and find something my own size to play with.
or murder.
You head out and find something unusual in Omega's canyon - a flowering bush. Lush green leaves, bright pink flowers. it makes you think of pollen and nectar and home. mmmm pollination. pervert.

Stumble across this one while searching. If found, observe and follow it for a little while.
Edit:If Mordred shows up too, check his smell. Human?
You find Trusty Jack up there fumbling about, trying to hide behind his hands. Mordred too. Trusty jack smells like nothing, and Mordred smells humanish, but with some foulness to him. it is not a pleasant smell. It reminds you of the corpse you found in the inn stable, a little.

Bump into these two while strolling with stomach pleasantly full.
You don't see either of these people. And something you ate is putting up a decent fight in your stomach. Who knew that food could hold to the
"never give up, never surrender" philosophy?
Reggie's report
In a mournfull tone
Well....this mission didn't seem to go well for me a lot of my transformations failed I sunk the boat by accident and then got lost from the others. I went into the woods and it was cool I liked it there I eventually stumbled upon a.....stone hole in the ground? But yeah people were hitting the rocks with these things and it looked fun so I came down there and offered to help....they chased me for some reason and eventually they caught me....And I kinda blacked out for a while and when I woke up by doing so I apparently drained one of my teammates....life force and it....killed them I went to the Beach and learned about safe sex from an old man until I got on the boat at that point and came back.
Reggie clenches his fist a few tears streaming down his face.
I'm.......I'm sorry...this is clearly all my fault sir.
"I'm not sure anything is clear from that description, let alone fault. Alright kid, go see the alchemists. Tehy'll give you a physical and do a few tests. it probably won't hurt much. I think. Probably."
"Upon arriving, the boat was jolted and one team member fell out, and as he attempted to climb back in, the boat partly filled with water. This caused Reggie to panic and attempt to shift into some form of spindly needle-legged creature, stabbing many holes into the boat and causing it to sink. at that point, I shifted to raven form and flew to the town, surveying the goop and locating the alchemist from the air. The alchemist was wearing a protective suit and was in the goop, retrieving something. I also observed many dead small animals in the vicinity of the goop, especially birds, so I operated upon the assumption it emitted toxic fumes and actively avoided being downwind of the goop. I returned to the shore, where all other Omegas had made their own way to, and reported to them what I saw. There, we opened several crates that had been with us in the boat, and retrieved an assortment of objects, we each took what seemed likely the most relevant to each of us, in my case a portrait of myself."
"After we had distributed the contents of the crates I led the group to the edge of the goop near the alchemist, and he was visibly struggling to get out of the goop. Our teams golem, he never told us his name, waded into the goop to retrieve him. I did a count of the group and saw 2 of us were missing, so I found a hiding spot for my portrait and attempted to locate them. I backtracked to the shoreline and located the squid there, and led him back to the group. When we arrived the area was full of bubbles, I dont know why. I left the squid behind and went searching for the last missing teammate, Reggie. I found tracks of his leading into the town, but the hard surface hid where he had gone, and Reggie has a weak smell, making scent-tracking him ineffective. So I began a loop of the town to verify he was still inside, and found his tracks leading out into the surroumding woods following a footpath. I followed his trail out into the woods but lost it as it grew dark. While backtracking and searching for where I had lost the trail I heard screaming and ran towards the noise. I saw a large group of local males armed with picks attacking something, though they declared it dead and left only moments after I arrived. Once they were gone I moved forward to investigate, and saw that their victim was Reggie, who had been reduced to a bulbous mass, with his Omega symbol and some other symbol showing on the top. I hunted down a rodent and placed it on Reggie but he did not react. I returned to town and eventually located the majority of the group at some form of travelers shrine. The alchemist was with them, under the watch of the golem. I asked for help for Reggie and got minimal responses, so I asked the golem specifically to assist. He refused until i promised to take responsibility for any harm or loss of the alchemist for the duration of him leaving his position. I then led him to Reggies body and he didnt know how to treat Reggie either, but agreed with my assessment that Reggie was not truly dead. He then followed my lead to carry Reggie back to the shrine in the dark. I then slept for the rest of the night"
"In the morning I went looking for the missing team members, but before finding any sign of them I saw a gathering of angry locals in the process of forming a mob. I decided to stay near them and monitor them. A local leader calmed and organized them, tasking them with finding us and and bringing us to him. I stayed near in cat form and pretended to be a friendly stray to stay in close proximity to him. He was friendly to my presence. The locals soon led the Omegas from the shrine to our position, the golem still escorting the alchemist, and began a civil discussion of our mission. he mentioned that one of missing team members was under medical care. The alchemist refered to some peocess to remove the goop and needed material components, and he and the golem left to retrieve what he needed."
"Soon afterwards there was a cut-off scream and I slipped away to take to the air and investigate. I saw that the goop was expanding rapidly and was actively hostile, especially to the golem. The alchemist was not visible. I then landed in the area of the local leader and warned him and the other Omegas of the goop. I then returned to the air, moved my portrait away from the goop, and returned to the shrine to move Reggie. Moments after I arrived, Reggie became animate again, and he and the shrine's priest escaped under their own power along with me. As we left it was unusually quiet, so I left them to escape and flew up again to see what was happening. The goop had become inert. I spotted the golem and asked if he was okay and what had happened. he responded with a list of external damage and some mobiliy damage, as well as goop in his joints. he then told me that he had murdered the alchemist, and that it was the alchemist's death-curse that made the goop hostile. upon further questioning he evaded answering why he had done so. Throughout the mission, the golem expressed contempt for 'organics' and during this final questioning he mentioned that the magister who created him had made him with emotions, and that doing so was highly offensive. He also called me a magister for whatever reason. anyway, after our conversation, I rested for a few moments, and then we were recalled."
"That is what happened on our mission"
"..."
"You are going places, kid. Consider yourself a Corporal.
Now, Corporal, describe the bubbles you saw, and then, describe everything you remember about the time in which this Reggie reanimated. I am particularly interested in feelings you experienced, in the reaction of his Brand and of the other mark you mentioned, and in changes to his demeanor and changes to the environment.
We'll leave the golem for later."
Clunkers, holding together admirably with his half plugged in power core and damaged everything, manages to give his report to the Omega soldier with a minimum of rattling and grinding of gears. Without trying to hide anything or half truth it this time around.
"Statement: report start.
Mission commenced upon reaching shore. Somehow we managed to sink the boat, and this one had to walk along ocean floor towards shore. Luckily this one's superior build quality has no need for air.
Once there, large parts of team managed to get lost or wandered off. This one attempted to locate alchemist, managed to do so. This one then attempted to keep alchemist safe in nearby shrine. This one had to leave alchemist for a while to retrieve a wounded teammate at the request of the female shapeshifting organic teammate. This one did so, then went into the goop to retrieve objects for the alchemist.
Even though multiple teammates were present, this one had to go with the alchemist alone to remedy the caustic goop. The alchemist managed to be utterly rude and uncooperative to this one, reminding this one of its original owner, and this one also had plenty of reason to doubt the competence of said alchemist.
This one, after some deliberation, came to the conclusion that the alchemist had to die. This one then grabbed a hold of the alchemist and, despite his feeble resistance, held him under the goop until he died. The alchemist, in his dying moments, managed to put a death curse on this one, making it impossible for this one to not tell the truth about what this one did. The death curse also animated the goop into trying to kill this one. Clearly, the goop was not succesful, though this one is not clear on why that is.
Statement: report end.
Statement: This one is still badly damaged, has residual magic in its shell and losing power at an alarming rate. This one does not fear death, having no particular attechment to life, but this one would like to be operational for as long as it can structurally manage. Repairs are necessary."
"I see. It appears that you acted competently and efficiently to accomplish your objective, until something set you off against the alchemist. At which point you deliberately went against mission objectives. Cold. ruthless. A natural killer. A bit shortsighted, in that you failed to anticipate the death curse.
We'll put you in the Brute Squad for now. Sergeant. Wheel this thing to the repair Gnomes. Have them put a limiter on him before they start tinkering. Wouldn't want any "accidents" now, would we?"
the sergeant laughs darkly at that, picks up a two handed Maul with one hand, and twirls it idly while dragging your cart away toward the .. well, wherever you are going.
