I think I made my high dwarf avatar pic back when I started playing DF in 2005. It's a hybrid between an ASCII peasant with a confused questionmark above it's head, which was used back then in the old versions, and a self portrait.

Well, except every 10th/30th second, where it briefly switches to hatfish making a spoopy face. I added that (some time after the first part) because i'm a cheeky shit who shamelessly enjoys creeping people out. :v
