Vanessa, inspired strangely by the spiral that Friedrick had constructed, was lost in a trance of sort. The color, repetitiveness...Everything about it brought something forth. She dreamed of light and energy, bending it, curving around space, pulled and contorted. She wondered. Holding her hand up to her face, the light began to bend and twist, like a heat mirage, confirming her thoughts. She shifted the hue, from red to orange to yellow, spanning the rainbow before she recalls something she remembered reading about once, half-asleep, that energy was merely matter in another form. Or something like that.
As the ball of contorting light shifted and spun, she began to change it, making materials; metal and cloth and smoke and wood, all there but immaterial, fading the moment her full attention wasn't on it, disintegrating at the slightest touch. But...It seemed to tend towards a shape. Like the forces she were balancing and unnaturally contorting tended towards a given state.
She closed her eyes, and let the light do as it would, releasing a brilliant glow of light in countless, ever-shifting colors, before finally subsiding as the light turned to cloth, draped over her in an elegant and cosmic dress. A twirl and a coy smile.
"Well, that was rather dramatic."
She ran her hands over her dress. It didn't disappate like the orb had earlier, but held firm. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she felt it tugging on her focus slightly, but it was negligible, on autopilot, like the simple act of bending light in the first place. Only a mote of concentration to keep it in shape. And to add a touch of flair, she added mentally.
