Vanessa decided to try something a bit more ambitious. She felt the light twist and bend, forming humanoid shapes before coalescing into soldiers, in Austrian uniform. The illusory regiment marched along, intangible but nevertheless an intimidating sight. Though their rifles couldn't harm the enemy, they'd serve as a distraction and intimidating factor.

Maria somewhat panics and decides to blast the enemy with the sunbeams again, as a powerful beam of light hails down upon the soldiers.

"I see, that means you can't just legally offer some of your blood to sort out the bills, then. Could you lead me to the Captain?" Smith said.

"That's too bad. It is impolite to dodge debts." Brenda continues to clean herself, hopefully to some effect.

One day, I will find who made that law and personally thank them. If they kidnapped us just to pay bill, I'm gonna be hoppin' mad.

"I'm kinda new 'round these parts. But I think I can find Ms.Purity-chan, if that's the person y'all are after. Otherwise, I guess y'all will hafta ask her. Right this way."

Brenda begins walking back to Purity-chan's last known location, silently praying for a high-powered shower to be located somewhere she could easily come back to.

Friederick latches onto an idea and pulls out a set of crystal balls and an airframe with a crystal-ball-shaped hole and a lot of fancy squiggles on.  These are quickly joined, leaving one crystal ball left over.
"I'm going to see if we can figure out where we're supposed to be heading, stay out of the flight path!"

Friederick launches the newly crafted plane-with-a-crystal-ball-in-it to do recon.

The soldiers leaped away from the fireballs with inhuman speed, but some of them are caught in the blast. Those who were hit squarely seemed to just evaporate into thin air, while the few caught on the edge began to melt. They don't seem that concerned and chittered angrily as they opened fire on the magical girls and Vanessa's soldiers. Obviously, bullets won't take down a magical girl, but it's not like the magical suit can block all the damage.

The line of soldiers that Conall and Adao charged into dropped their guns and raised their hands up. If this looked like a gesture of surrender at first, the idea was shattered when multicoloured lightning began to arc around the ten soldiers as they began to meld together. The melting glob of demonic soldiers took the shape of a large alien.

The ice spikes from Elizabeth seemed to freeze the soldiers momentarily, allowing some of them to be shattered.

Some of the soldiers seemed to be fleeing, their features melting to become some form of humanoid in uniform.

"Right..."
Friederick pulls out a different part and swaps it out for the fireball portion.

Then a bolt of electricity sears out and zaps one of the fleeing Greys.  Followed by another, and another, and another.

Conall charges at the merged monster, slashing at it's small arm bit as he dodge rolls under.

You might think that Adao would slow down upon seeing the soldiers transform into whatever the fuck that is. You would be very wrong. If anything, the little steel cannonball speeds up, roaring out his battlecry yet again as he leaps through the air, his mace swinging hard down onto the unfortunate monstrous alien. That's gonna hurt. (Though who it will hurt remains to be seen.)

Suddenly Eva is in her armour, though when exactly she transformed is hard to say. What she can say is that she has a bazooka on her shoulder, a high-explosive round loaded in it, and the knowledge of how to use it. "Watch out, Adao!" she shouts as she takes aim and fires at the massive alien in front of him. Instinctively she uses her warping powers to speed up the projectile, so that it would hit the creature well before her friend did. Hopefully the one-two punch will be enough to defeat it.

Elizabeth continued firing on the retreating aliens, but redirected the spikes to the new, large one that was threatening Adao.

More sunbeams, this time against the giant alien.

Unfortunately electricity seems to be the worst option against the gaunt aliens. The electricity caused their clothes to catch on fire, but the shock made them pause, and suddenly they're shooting arcs of lightning back at Friederick and the others.

The large alien's natural armor was as strong as a tank. It was a good thing, then, that tanks weren't that useful against magic.  The alien wasn't much of a match against the VR-assisted magical girls, though it may have caused some superficial damage on Conall and Adao before it went down.


Brenda returned to what appeared to be a rather spacious and comfy lounge that the girls left earlier. Purity-chan wasn't there, but signs helpfully pointed to the Captain's office. Unhelpfully, the entrance seemed to be on the ceiling.

Friederick quickly rejiggers his device yet again, this time causing it to draw in electrical attacks.  Thankfully, his suit is grounded.
"Drat!  Someone take those things out!"
