Adao has totally been with the group the whole time. Yes. In fact, the shapely boy and his towering friend have been arguing with each other in hushed tones from the moment Purity-chan left view. One can guess that they're plotting against the alien magical girl things who have kidnapped them. Or recruited them and then managed to break their memory with crazy space alien technology. Either of those possibilities is enough to make the dark-skinned boy want to break a few teeth, honestly.
Also, they confirm from the windows that they are, in fact, in space. Above earth. Probably. Could be a picture though. He's not eager to find out. After that, VR! To be fair, the boy would much rather stay around with the sweet American girl who drawls like a real charm, but as his friend points out, it's probably worth at least checking out this weird technology (and any answers it may provide) while it's available to them, not to mention get to know their new cellmates?comrades in arms? friends? Whatever. Better than staying around here. Probably.
The VR Chamber dissolved into an unfamiliar city. Likely fictional. The girls found themselves standing in the city's square.
An unfamiliar magical girl dressed in black and red lolita clothes stood on top of a fountain in the square's centre. She muttered something which the girls' translators don't catch up.
"Right, I was hoping humans don't do that thing where they skip orientation classes. Whatever, they'll learn when they're fighting the Greys."
"I'm a consciousness snapshot of Ingrid Cold, cursed to instruct magical girls until the end of times, or they push out a new version. Et cetera."
"Activating your magical suit isn't an exact art. Try imagining what you'll look like with a magical suit. Or get pissed. Or hopeful, I dunno. Or just think about fighting each other."
Well. Adao wasn't quite exactly expecting that. Or much of anything. Buuuut when he hears her words properly, all his expectations disappear, as the boy is filled with fury, tense muscles hidden beneath casual, clothes.
"Cursed... for all times...? So, what, they use slave labor here or something?!"When he turns back, he's already in his impressive medieval armor, mace and all. He doesn't seem to have noticed yet.
"Sweet mother of God! I knew they were up to know good, but this, Eva...?!"
Then he glances down at his armor, and blinks. A few times.
