((1. There are only vague hints that it is a combat load out.
2. When the scenario is "Aliens kidnap you, tell you Earth has been under attack and needs you to fight for it, and there are hints that all of history is a lie", "OK WHAT DO I FIGHT THEM WITH?" isn't the most pressing question. Thus it is a distraction.

The VR Chamber dissolved into an unfamiliar city. Likely fictional. The girls found themselves standing in the city's square.

An unfamiliar magical girl dressed in black and red lolita clothes stood on top of a fountain in the square's centre. She muttered something which the girls' translators don't catch up.

"Right, I was hoping humans don't do that thing where they skip orientation classes. Whatever, they'll learn when they're fighting the Greys."

"I'm a consciousness snapshot of Ingrid Cold, cursed to instruct magical girls until the end of times, or they push out a new version. Et cetera."

"Activating your magical suit isn't an exact art. Try imagining what you'll look like with a magical suit. Or get pissed. Or hopeful, I dunno. Or just think about fighting each other."

Connall nods and stares at the ground with such intensity that one would think he was trying to burn a hole in it. He isn't. Whatever the process that's going on in his head, it leads him to roar quite loudly and then punch himself. Somehow, this achieved his goal and now he's in a skirt and the upper portion of a suit.
