I wouldn't count Rhea as a good person honestly because of how she treats her inferiors. Hell, Crestfallen Warrior might be snide but he's at least not calling you an uncouth barbarian for talking to him. He's just an average guy wanting to sit around.

As for Laurentius... Is he a good guy? We did rescue him so it's possible we're getting a skewed version of his personality. But what he shows us seems fine. I like him a lot honestly.

Also, it's okay, Damon will gladly tell Sacha how much bigger and tougher and cooler and better looking while shirtless than Ariston he is if she just asks.

@Tir: Nerjin uses a red glow for thoughts. It just so happens that Ariston's text color is also a red glow, so, there is a bit of overlap there.

Not really.

It's just that nobody bothered at all to talk to her about it. Especially since she hinted that she's onto something, although knowing her--she assumed a better assumption.

Reminds me of reading "Around the World in 80 days", it brought about a beautiful misinterpretation of assumption of how the policeman/detective tracking them was a 'good fellow sent to see them well off' by the club at the beginning where the bet was pronounced that made that title.

@Nerjin: Could always just do same text color but italics around it. That's usually the standard, though if you'd rather do pink I won't complain. Also, texture?

@Tir: Well, yes, we the players know Alain is a librarian because Tiruin has no reason to lie about it. But from the perspective of the somewhat paranoid Sacha, it makes sense that Alain is something other than what she 'claims' she is. Players =/= characters and all that.

Spoiler: Nerjin's Explanation of his use of 'Texture' (click to show/hide)

All characters should have positive and negative feedback into eachother, in my opinion.

If Sacha just fawns all over every woman in the party she quickly becomes comic relief (Think Brock from poke'mon.)

However, by having a mix of positives and negatives in the relationship the banter becomes more interesting and less one dimensional.

Early on she had nothing but negative for Damon, Ariston, and Typhos. Nothing but positive for Yilda, Rosalia, and Alain. All because they were military men and pretty women respectively.

That's a very flat manner to interact with characters but cements two of Sacha's biggest character traits. Hatred of authority/military and a love of debauchery. The people she travels with are ONLY obstacles or pleasure objects.

HOWEVER, that's boring in the long run or, at the very least, leads more to a one note character. Thus she gains more 'texture' on the flat planes of their relations.

She's afraid of Alain because she's an assassin.

She's annoyed at Yilda for insulting her when Sacha made a 'noble sacrifice' two fights ago.

She sympathizes with Ariston for being imprisoned by a military (Thus adding a new character trait to herself: She values other people's freedom as well as her own. THis is also shown with the prostitution conversation she had with Damon. Which showed A) Previosly mentioned thing. B) Reinforces her hatred of the military. C) Let's her grow into liking Damon more because he took such a hard stance against using women like the military men she knows has.)

She does the same with Damon and, due to his change of attitude towards her, has actually come to view him as important. If you had a copy of my notes you'd see that simply because she trusts him now she has decided not to try and convert Ariston into her cult simply because of his friendshipp with Damon.

She... Rosalia and her haven't interacted enough for more texture and with Typhos she simply hates him because... well he's not important anymore.

Basically when I use the word "texture" I'm referring to how negative and positive feedbacks between characters make a sort of friction that changes them for better or worse. OBVIOUSLY, Sacha will eventually like each character and have many interactions. But for now I'm going for 1 positive feedback and 1 negative feedback...
