Also probably later on...
Amelia flips on the specific internal stereo system to play ambient music in Tobias K.'s room, for better practice workout.

((Wondering if this can be a half action to my 'finish reading book for bonus' action :P
Also I am extremely interested in how you detail my forays into reading this book. It is very intriguing.
Also really? I thought I should re-apply the action of reading the book...though I guess bookmarks do take care of that ._. Let's go with that!))

Currently...
Be the pilot and begin departure, probably taking up all my 'free time' action :I (I'm ok with this. :P )

Amelia began the pre-flight protocols along with communications with the station traffic control tower, going through all procedures in checking if the ship (and its most recent external projects) were ready to go without error.

She radioed the Captain, "Ready for liftoff, on your order, Captain."

Dio retreats to his room, furiously scribbling down power diagrams and schematics. His goal: design a slave drone able to hide a railgun/laser plus capacitor/battery (or a single missile), able to be programmed using a laser pointer-based serial connection.

Main specifications, if useful:
>Does not need engines, can and should be launched from a safe distance from the ship.
>Needs to be stealthy enough not to be seen
>Preferably buildable using cheap materials

Try to have a workshop set up.

"Hold on, hold on. What are you trying to do with my equipment? It's fine where it is. No issue where it is."

Block this action. All is fine with stuff in the cargo bay at present.

TT tapped the power armour frame with his wrench, noting the weight. In full grav, he might not even be able to move the damn thing.

Design a powered system of hydralics and servomotors attached to the frame to allow easy movement when fully armoured.

"Oh? I was just trying to get things organized, so that it'd be easier to build things and find where tools and materials were, is all."

Observe what the others are doing, try to figure out how things work, etc. Not the ones who are staying in their rooms, though, since that'd be an invasion of privacy and bad for business.

Training montage of TK practicing his kickboxing skills in his room while travel is underway.
As the ship gets underway you set to work on a training regime orientated towards your kickboxing skills, and even though you don't have the facilities for any truly comprehensive training you feel that the plan should manage to benefit you somewhat. When you start to get into your training the intercom in your room cuts on, and music starts to stream out,

"Rising up, back on the ground~ Did my time, took chances~ Went the distance, now I'm back in the seat~ Just a man, and his will to survive~

So many times it happens too fast~ You trade your passion for glory~ Don't lose your grip on the dreams in the stars~ You must fight just to keep yourself alive~

It's the sights of a fighter~ It's the thrill of the fight~ Rising up to the challenge of our rivals~ And the last known survivor~ Stalks his prey in the void~ And he's watching us all with the sights of the fighter~"

Over the period of time it takes to arrive at the mission area you manage to get a decent amount of training in though you feel that your advancements in boxing were hampered by the lack of a sparring partner which would have allowed you to practice some adaptability in your moves. Of course you're quite amused by the music playing through the intercom, but you kind of wish it had cut off when you laid down to sleep ...

You lock yourself away in your room to begin working on the schematics for a stealth drone of sorts, but as time passes you slowly fill your room with scattered sheets of paper, and balled up scraps that are the remnants of failed designs. Though you're saddened by your current failures you've managed to gain some answers from your attempts that should allow your future schematics to be easier to create. You're certain at this point that railguns are outside the realm of a drone as you've studied some information off of the System's InfoNet that reveals that all known railguns are capital-ship weapons, and are either prototypes or artifacts from fallen civilizations that would cost you far too much to obtain. The laser, and missile options on the other hand are much more accessible with the missile option being the cheapest while a laser would end up costing you quite a steep price to obtain that is probably outside the realm of what you want from this design.

You spend most of the trip designing, and making slight adjustments to the exoskeleton schematics to add another set of motors and a hydraulics system to it in order to remove some of the problems the exoskeleton will have with weight along with keeping it from collapsing should it ever enter Terra-like gravity. It doesn't take you too long to finish the designs, and they final result is rather simplistic meaning maintenance should be fairly easy should the need arise. Of course before you can truly bask in the glory of the war machine you're creating you find Rocco attempting to move the workbenches in the Storage Bay around to form a workshop, an action you prevent as you find there is a method to your own madness.

Observe what the others are doing, try to figure out how things work, etc. Not the ones who are staying in their rooms, though, since that'd be an invasion of privacy and bad for business.
You spend your time observing the other crew members, and find that only Tobias Trent, and the pilot Amelia seem to remain out of their rooms for any extended periods of time. Of the two Trent spends most of his time in the Storage Bays staring at a somewhat crudely built metal frame as he reaches over to scribble down notes on a pile of papers that cover the entirety of the machining workbench. Amelia on the other hand seems to spend her free time reading a romance novel by the name of Love in the Stars, a name you find vaguely familiar though with the number of popular books that come out every month you can't really pin where you remember it from.

About two days into your route towards the mission area your sensors pick up something, a small object giving off a weak power signal and a somewhat low heat signature which upon inspecting visually you discover is actually a fighter that is drifting through space. As far as you can tell there is no evidence of someone being alive inside the fighter, and though the fighter is damaged most of that seems to be centered around the wings and some minor damage to the cockpit area ...

Aside from the fighter you have no signs of any other ships, or potential hostiles so you could recover the damaged fighter if you wish.

GM Note: I do not guarantee the quality of any songs modified, created, or imagined by myself. Be warned, and consume any at your own risk of being utterly offended by how awful they may be.

Made an adjustment to the Plasma Torch to show that TT used it.

@Tiruin: I automatically had you complete both turns reading the book since forcing you guys to wait another turn before heading to the mission would have been dumb on my part, and besides when you guys are not on a mission or stuck in combat the turns are an indeterminate amount of time that could encompass several turns from a mission. As for how I handle the book you're reading: I've just written down what the basic idea of the book is, and I make it up as I go. (Because we all love winging it don't we? Or, is that just me then?)

If anyone wants to blame someone for the delay in the update feel free to burn Gig at the stake for allowing me to procrastinate by playing video games, and a session of Paranoia with me.

Eh, cheaper is better I suppose.

Build a laser-operated fuse for a missile. Establish a serial connection to transmit target data but only upon launch.

No missiles onboard. :/ Race Neil to the guns and proceed to take orders.

"Hmm, Amelia, could we get another scan of the wreckage there? And then another of the immediate area please. Then assuming there's nothing showing, I think we should close in and pull her into the loading bay, with Coleman and Kavanagh down there to open her up. Armed, just to be sure... Any objections?"

If there are no objections, man the guns, prepare them for firing, aimed at the fighter wreck. Salvage it!

Listening to the plan, Coleman nodded and moved over to the loading bay doors, getting ready to enter the ship when the doors were ready. He drew and readied his weapon just in case anything unusual happened.

TK also took position, on the opposite side of the bay doors, pistol in his right hand and his knife in his left hand.

Quote from: Tiruin
9:10:15 AM <Tiruin>  My action is salvaging the fighter :3
9:12:39 AM <Tiruin>  Let me radio for the crew to be prepared--likely in a case of contaminant hazards
Amelia sends a message over the ship intercoms telling the crew who are going to interact with the ship itself to beware any potential hazards before turning to the piloting computers as she begins to make up a flight path to pick up the fighter. The resulting flight path is essentially perfect and the ship halts pretty much in the best position to pull the fighter into Storage Bay One which is proven by the ease with which the Salvaging arms deposit it inside the ship once the bay doors open. Shortly after the bay doors close and re-pressurization begins ...

Eh, cheaper is better I suppose.

By the time Dio arrives on the bridge Neil is already sitting at the weapons console and has the guns powered up in preparation for any threat that might show itself while the crew is grabbing this damaged fighter.

TK and Coleman head to the entrance doors to Storage Bay One as the fighter is being loaded into the ship while readying their weapons in case of any potential threats remaining on board the heavily damaged fighter. It takes a little while, but the light above the airlock switches from red to green signalling the bay has been pressurized again before the airlock doors cycle open to allow the two of them entrance. The moment the pair enters they quickly notice just how heavily damaged the fighter is as its cockpit area is riddled with holes bigger than their head, and several of the thrusters seem to be damaged as well.

Finished with examining the outside of the fighter the pair heads to the hatch at the back and TK sets to finding the manual override while Coleman levels his rifle at the door. A sudden thunk followed by metal screeching follows TK finding the panel with the manual door lever revealing the inside of the fighter. What remains of the cockpit is a mess of exposed wires, splintered displays, and the shattered remains of the pilot submersion tank in which hangs the upper half of a human pilot ...

TK is too practical to take chances and cuts the throat of the pilot before checking around the cockpit for anything salvageable.

Setting the ship to return to its programmed and calculated course, Amelia popped up right next to TK and the others in examining the fighter.

She circled around before hopping onto it and checking the cockpit, touching the exterior with a gloved hand. "The fun thing with space and visual dilation is that things far off look a lot better than up close. Which is why the distance-to-vision ratio is now so large, stellar weaponry relies on technology a lot more than before. I have no idea what model this is, but it looks like an interceptor: Single pilot, focus on thrusters and maneuverability. Also, I'm betting it was shot down by point-defense ordnance; every spacecraft built to withstand high g-forces require a submersion tank for the pilot's consciousness, and this one has been granted a merciful end," She gestured at the holes with her eyes.

She winced as TK went over to apply his mercy to the only owner of the ship. "Handle the body with care, give it the burial it deserves. As for the craft, these are pre-assembled so if we begin to scrap or repair it...it'll look very much like a mis-matched heap. I'll just get back to the bridge and leave the rest to you all. We can possibly salvage bits and pieces from it that still work though, and then sell the rest for...scrap. Though I do wonder, whoever sent this person out here has not returned to retrieve them; I wonder if this was a freelancer or something else? Terrible to leave your employ stranded in space."

Continue back to the mission-ing! (Since that takes up my whole action. xD)

Perform scanner sweeps of the nearby area before taking off.

"It's likely a pirate. The only funeral it deserves is being jettisoned into space. Regardless, my job is making sure the crew is safe, and if there's even a less than one percent chance the pilot is alive and hostile, it's my job to make sure it's in no position to harm anyone."
