lol, i just ran into a hill giant on like d:7 after just a few turns there? i managed to kill it by buffing but theyve definitely been messing with the ood spawns.

hey, sorry, when you popped into my game, my boss had just come in my office and had some questions.

Any of you knows how to use that SSH key? I downloaded it but don't know how to use it in putty. I could connect to password servers, but the others are beyond me.

For Windows PuTTy:

1. Download the key, stick the file somewhere obvious.
2. Create putty session, e.g. host: crawl@crawl.develz.org; port: 22.
3. Save session - mine is called cdo. I am very imaginative
4. In the side menu, go to Category Connection, SSH, Auth.
5. Browse... for your key file at \somewhere obvious\cao_key.pkk and hit ok.
6. Save the session details again.
7. Double click on the name of your session.
8. Obtain an uncle who goes by the handle 'Bob'.

Strict adherence to the step 8 may not be necessary, but steps 1-7 should get you there anyway.

edit: Also, D7 hill giants sound pretty standard IMO. Horribly brutal, but that's crawl. Its the D3 bees that get me though.

well, first game led to stupid death unfortunately. i could blame the lack of any decent loot after clearing lair, orc, and swamp, but it's more likely that i'm just rusty and unfamiliar with .17.

I play console on CDO ... Its not a very fashionable server these days apparently ...

Apparently its so unfashionable its not getting 0.17 in time for the tourney . Now I haz a sad. Looks like I shall have to transfer to CLAN, and am going to spend the next two weeks annoyed at myself for clicking automatically on CDO on my Putty Sessions saved, instead of CLAN.

Damn. I thought it started on the 3rd somehow. And I just found a treasure trove on d:11 that had a randart pearl dragon armor in it (+9, relec, +int).

Oh well, I guess it'll help me get up to speed with any changes.
