Chartre looks around at the strangely colored dimension with no small amount of wonder, before respectfully addressing Mio, younger than him or no.
"Well... this place is odd, certainly... That said, miss, you didn't mention me... which I guess would be because I haven't introduced myself. I'm Chartre Alcole, from the same... world... I guess, as Chryssa, Ian, and Anna, and a classmate of theirs. I am a swordfighter and a Dust specialist, and my Semblance (er, ability? I don't know, Ian, do they have Semblances here?), my Semblance Null allows me to cancel out other Semblances and Dust... or, you know, abilities, I suppose."

Mio extends a hand to him.
"Mio Honda. Nice to meet you. I guess you should come with me then. Whatever opponents seem to be coming, they'll likely be packing some sort of magical ability."

Chartre shakes her hand. "Pleasure to meet you too. And... alright, that sounds like a good plan to me."
Chartre finally bothers to draw Mistrelle, holding the saber out as he advances towards the sound of shots with Mio.

"This is different. I'm taking point and I don't want to be alone just in case there's more than just....those Shadow things."

There's a light bobbing in front of his face now.

Chartre casually reaches out, focusing his Semblance near his finger, and touches the light... and as a magical construct, it is promptly "desummoned", winking out of existence with his touch.

[SOLDIER First]

"That's not what the hell she meant."

((Going to write up the combat start assuming I got everyone.

Also, just going to nope the preemptive Kinetic Shell because then Alanis basically got an extra turn and that's not fair, and no, I don't care about your inevitable realism argument.))
