It seems to contain a lot of powerful magic, which might explain the draining effect, as even looking at it seems to sting Alan slightly.

Garnt considers simply absorbing it, but... There was little point to that right now. Perhaps later, if he really needed the boost.

Or maybe... Combining the creature's soul with it's hide may have interesting effects. Then again, it might simply return it to life, and he'd seen what such things could do when the membrane fused itself to him.

Nisfib looks at his New Focusing Crystals! They seem somewhat useless... Perhaps he could Add them to his Staff! Or perhaps that would just be a useless attempt that destroys a Perfectly usable item...

"Two is that the creature consumed Dark Samus, using it's guise and abilities."

"And three is that there were two phazon beasts running around, one involving DS, and the other unrelated."

"Which still leaves me with enough loot to trade you for that soul, and have a 50/50 chance at being right."

"So, bad news guys, I need a bit more time before we leave so I can figure out how to make the reactor overload without a control panel, and also the phazon suit turned all evil and gooey. Also, mean looking claws."
