All these kids telling him to run... Tch. He was a Warrior of Sunlight, adherent to the Lord of Sunlight. He did not run. But... a cautious approach was best when fighting unknowns. So let's start off with something simple.
Garnt slowly backs off while throwing a Lightning Spear at the monster. Creating some distance while using one of his miracles seemed like the best approach for now. If it didn't work at all... then he would run, yes.

Ian runs to the treeline. But after a moment of deliberation waits to see if the woman was going to do some stupid 'last stand' thing.

Mio keeps running. Unlike these other mages, her magic did not extend to ranged projectiles and relied entirely on her being able to get in close; at least, without her secret weapon, anyway.
She does look a little irritated at being forced to run, but runs regardless. However, she stays close by, ready to turn face and attack if the opportunity presents itself or if the beast turns out to be weaker.

The fireball slams into the monster, but doesn't leave so much as a scratch.

The lightning bolt hits the monster, but doesn't leave so much as a scratch.

The woman is still blasting the monster, but it doesn't leave much of a scratch. She is dodging it's attacks now.

Eirika slashes the monster with her blade. It feels like she slashed a large armoured cube of jelly. It did absolutely nothing to it.

Gritting her teeth, Eirika Critically Hits the monster.

The woman, doesn't hear Alan shouting due to a large monster trying to kill her.

Eirika's blade critically hits the monster. Still felt like cutting into armored jelly.

He yells gesturing back at the monster with his pipe

Eirika slashes away, ignoring that her attacks are seemingly useless.

Mio turns back, seeing Eirika trying to hack away at the beast.
I had better get them out of there before the beast turns on her. If all this magic and slashing won't work, neither will mine, even with my....secret weapon...
Sprinting back, Mio attempts to wrest Eirika away from the beast forcefully, using her magically-boosted strength to aid her.
