So what, like that game Akroma's running but with less horrible death? And how would the magic work, as in like Ars Goetia style? Or something more modern like figuring out a way to dox the being or negotiate with it? Or less serious such as by bribing it with offers of beer?

essentially? it's less about "hush hush, nobody knows we're doing this" and more "hush hush, nobody knows we're doing this, because underage magic is illegal and we're underage"
it's like, generic fantasy magic. you have fire/water/lightning/nature/light/death/Extreme Death spells to zap people with, utility spells, enchanting, summoning, etc.
in the setting, magic is known everywhere and lots of issues came up in the past, including but not limited to pubescent males and succubi, so they put an age limit on it. like drinking. coincidentally it's also 21 in america, so drunk magic is the new drunk driving.
my idea was the characters are all late 15 through early 17 Because Wynaut and learning magic from a Totally Responsible Adult that thinks the age limit is bullshit
