Let's hope it it not a primitive mech. :D

Regular, and Corporal, woohoo!

Also, how do you assign an APC to a Platoon. I have more than enough of those.

I created a force and assigned the APC and the foot platoon to it. I'm not planning on deploying the infantry to missions, so I'm hoping I won't have to figure out how to load the infantry in the vehicle. In principal, it should be possible, but the controls are a bit wonky if I recall.

Ah, ok. That makes sense.
I have one platoon, they are on constant Search and Rescue. I might get more, but they clutter the personell list badly.

They also seriously cut into the monthly profits.  I did a calculation earlier that pointed out just how expensive they are, especially since they really don't contribute much towards unit effectiveness.

They're also a pain to fire/rehire, which is probably the only way to keep them from sucking away all the money between contracts.  They're certainly common enough to just hire fresh with each contract.

I have 360 personell, costing me about 550k/month. Labour is extremely cheap im my opinion, some guys work for as little as 240C-Bills/month. And my 450 astechs are apparently happy without any pay at all.

Another platoon wouldn't make that much of a difference, as I am big enough already. I field two full companies plus aerospace assets (4 fighters per company). I also have an old confederate dropship that my employers sometimes insist on coming along. I get around 14mil/month right now, minus shares of course.

Aerospace...bombs are essentially free? No cost associated with them?

Very cool duel!
Kudos to Korad for taking out the heavier wolverine!

Do we know what advanced mech we'll be chasing after? :)

It'll depend on the weight class of our deployed mech.

There's a feature somewhere in the python script that is recognising a lot of spaces as part of the name. Gotta go fix that sometime! If it happens again, keep the original log for me please? :) I'll see if I can try to fix it anyway in the meantime.

And yeah, that SRM6 though. 10 damage almost every turn, geez.

Rince: doesn't the game completely bog down? I'm thinking of staying at 3 lances tops just so my contracts only require me to deploy one lance, to limit the # of fights per week. How different is the game once you're huge?

Well if it depends on weight, we should send one of our heavies to maximize the potential salvage  8)
I think Han should get the honours.

It is managable. I need to deploy 5 lances, 2 of which need to do the primary mission. The others I usually have on defensive or on fighting duty. I also interpret the rules somewhat liberally at times and delete missions where the enemy has no chance at all.
If you organize secondary lances under a command lance, and the command lance rolls a battle, it and the lances under it can deploy. You only get the OPFOR for the one lance though.

I don't want anymore though, because it would be like work, although I'd love to have a full batallion.

On another note: My infantery had to rescue my Marauder (Bounty Hunter 3015) pilot for the 2nd time in as many battles. That machine seems to draw headshots like nothing else. And he is worth saving: PPC-Specialist and natural aptitude: gunnery.

Nicely done. The JR-7F is an excellent duelling Mech, because it's fast enough to stay in the rear arc of almost anything if it wins initiative, and well-armed enough to shred anything faster. And if it loses intiative, it can skedaddle out of range and/or behind cover.

Against your average 5/8/5 medium like a SHD, GRF or WVR, it's not much of a contest. Only real danger is going up against something with an AC/20 or a lot of ML's and them getting lucky hits in. Would not want to duel a Hunchback, for instance.

True but in a game of dwindling resources sometimes a guaranteed win is really about trying to win without losing too much.

Also I think now would be a great time to get Konrad out of his beat up machine...

And put him into one of the blueprinted Konrad Series Mechs
