Alan's magic reacts VIOLENTLY to the intrusion, exploding outwards in a burst of kinetic force before Alan manages to cut off the flow.  Hopefully, the fact that it was at about chest height for a standing person leaves Zacherus relatively unharmed.  If that had been his brain, though, well.  Bad things would have happened.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"
The light doesn't resume.

Shen puts his 3DS up and helps put Zacherus back together (with what hasn't been re-attached), "I'm going to guess your some form of Undead. Probably a Lich. You should be a lot more careful around anything that radiates light like that."
